WH Press Secretary Leavitt Says President Trump Is Not Celebrating Juneteenth

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt says she is "not tracking the president's signature on any proclamation" marking Juneteenth today or the rest of the week, suggesting President Trump will not be celebrating or acknowledging it officially besides June 19th already being a federal holiday.

I don't think he will distinguish Juneteenth one way or another.

We'll see I suppose.

I was expecting Trump to say something like...

"It's great that our blacks have a day to celebrate this weekend. The white people have Father's Day so it's only fair that black people have a day to celebrate too."

That is what I am thinking. Seriously, what spurred Juneteenth is like the original act of DEI, right?

DEI

diversity, equity and inclusion

noun
variants or less commonly diversity, equity, and inclusion
1
: a set of values and related policies and practices focused on establishing a group culture of equitable and inclusive treatment and on attracting and retaining a diverse group of participants, including people who have historically been excluded or discriminated against
Merriam-Webster

On June 19, 1865, two and a half years after President Abraham Lincoln’s historic Emancipation Proclamation, U.S. Maj. Gen. Gordon Granger issued General Order No. 3, which informed the people of Texas that all enslaved people were now free. Granger commanded the Headquarters District of Texas, and his troops had arrived in Galveston the previous day.

Sounds like DEI to me.

This guy is very good.

It’s coming soon.

On the one hand, Donald claims to have invented the holiday, declaring that nobody on the planet had even heard of it before he brought it up.

On the other hand, he’s been quite clear that DEI purge = purge all references to black people, including delisting any public accomplishments of black veterans, pushing companies like Google to remove Black History Month from their calendars, etc. So, we know that he would prefer that the black people be kept at arm’s length from him and his children.

So, what will he do?

For added color, feel free to post your anticipated “Happy Juneteenth” message from Donald on Truth Social.
It doesn't mean anything. It was mostly a gesture by Biden to compensate for all of his bigotry in the 90s.

Incorrect, according to your Lord and Savior Donald John Trump, he was the one who invented the holiday.

other - he'll tweet something but he's got enough to worry about with Iran right now to stir up liberals into a frenzy (like a normal Trump day)
Golf day.
