Respect has nothing to do with acknowledging good policy. I think Matt Gaetz is a piece of shit but when he proposes legislation to prevent members of Congress from actively participating in the stock market I can get behind it. I have no issue with using Republicans when they agree with me.

That seems like a pretty damn good description to me. And who isn't winning against Conservatism? What have they been able to conserve? Their culture is dying.
Many of the ideas are changing, that's for certain. But refusing to see why the LBGTQ community has enraged the right is not the rights fault. It is wholly the fault of the left for their lack of sensitivity.

No they have not been silent. I remember what it was like in the 80s, 90s and early 2000s for gay people when I was growing up and it sure as shit wasn't this tolerant, silent paradise you're portraying. Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama had to be dragged kicking and screaming in to even just supporting gay marriage. Save that fantasy shit for your LARPing group. No. And I have no problem telling you no. You can be a bigot and try to teach your children to hate gays or blacks or jews or whatever brand of mutant ideology you adhere to but decent people will fight against that programming, unapologetically.
