Why People Support Trump:

People support Trump, because they want to win, they want to be able to follow their own narrative and be right.

They don't care about reality.

Even Hare Krishna says reality sucks, so what matters is only your own narrative.

The Bible calls those who understand reality beloved, 2 Peter 3:8 "But, Beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years and a thousand years as one day." Talking about the first chapters of Genesis too.
 
The only reason people support Trump the Terrorist is deliberate idiocy. He is a son of Satan, against the Bible in every way.

If their goal was to win, all they cared about was making the executive branch red again. He was never a popular candidate in 2016.

People support Trump because he gives them permission to be lazy, terrible, selfish human beings. Being a good person takes effort. Understanding another person's perspective takes effort. It's much easier to hate anything and anyone that challenges your comfort and the innate bigotries we all have. Between the angel and devil on your shoulder, Trump is the voice that tells you that it's okay to listen to the devil and ignore than angel.

The transformation of Ashley Babbit from a Big Lebowski-styling Obama supporter to the most vile of Trump supporters was that of someone who felt liberated in submitting to the devil on her shoulder. This was documented in her social media.
 
I disagree that it’s personal and think that it’s the brainwashing of Fox and other odious news outlets over the last 15 years.

They trained a huge group of people to hate the ACA and most of them didn’t even know why. Most of them benefited from it and still hated it.

That’s the power of outrage media. Trump is just an extension of that. Trump is the product of treating Rush Limbaugh as if he were a legitimate intellectual rather than a hateful partisan hack

If you are going to start a thread about why some group you don't like acts, believes, feels in some way, try providing unbiased reasons instead of your naked negative opinions.

NONE of the reasons you list is based on a real evaluation of facts.

IMO the part of your assertion I bolded in your post is more a reflection of YOUR view than anything else.

I am not "chagrinned" based on my entire post history since he was elected.

I am well-aware of his strengths and weaknesses. I am cheering him on because I support more of his policies than I oppose.

Moreover, I've had enough of Democrat B.S. seeking to divide this country into competing special interests and then BUY their support via give-away social welfare programs.

Something they learned from Lyndon Johnson's "Great Society" democrat plantation affirmative action and social welfare programs which have damaged Black Americans over the last 50 years.

Ever heard of a fallacious response in Logic known as the "ad hominin?" Thats what occurs when you offer a slur regarding one of more persons as if it were both a fact and had some bearing on the issue. Neither of which is true.

Meanwhile:

1. Trump has yet to be convicted of any crimes. That issue with the blond complainant was a civil action, which does not equate to a criminal charge, it only assigns liability for a claim of some damage seeking financial repair.

2. The fact that Mr. Bragg, and several other Democrat D.A.'s are seeking to charge him with whatever "trumped up charges" is IMO just more dirty politics typical of their history.

3. Your personal disdain for Trump is noted...and dismissed. You are entitled to an opinion, but since you can't vote, that opinion is of little matter.
 
I think one reason people support Trump is he is simply unwilling to be convinced to join the swamp. As a monetarily rich man before he entered politics, he never needed to be swallowed by the swamp for financial reasons or gain. He just keeps marching to his drum and doesn't cave to that swamp. That unique independence that truly defines Trump, is contagious.

That might be fair - but he wants to preserve and protect the America he knows, the country where opportunity exists for unique people loaded with ideas, drive and fortitude.
I'd agree he comes first but right after that, is America. Trump pours himself into his goals and dreams.

Absolutely. Most everyone has strengths and weaknesses and Trump has very big versions of both.
But when it comes to his strengths, they're good ones, strong ones, and effective ones. He is not a wimp and he is not feckless. Trump, in many ways, is absolutely a born leader and a born achiever.
