Outside of a few diehard Trumpers, this is one issue few Americans are paying any attention to. I place it in the same category as Trump’s tax returns the democrats were so hot to obtain. The big difference is Biden is no longer president, he’s not running for anything and won’t be. Whereas Trump, his tax returns was when he was running for the presidency and he is president now. Which makes Trump’s tax return much more relevant than the autopen issue with Biden.

The thing is neither issue will change any past votes and won’t change any in the future either. The autopen issues is irrelevancy at its finest whereas Trump’s tax returns might have had a bearing on who a few folks voted or how they view Trump today.

It would prove in their eyes that Trump never engaged with underage girls. Those same people still believe Trump didn't pay off a porn star for her silence.

Trump is the guy who bragged that he deliberately walked in on naked underage girls in the Miss Teen USA Pageant and others. But MAGAts don't care. Doesn't prove a thing. There are dozens of photos of Trump with Epstein and young ladies. Doesn't mean a thing. If Trump says he never knew Epstein, that's all MAGAts need.

You also realize that the 'political cudgel' can be removed with a simple grant of immunity or a pardon, right?

Are you old enough to remember Colonel Oliver North, a US Marine and aid to president Reagan, who stood before a congressional committee and invoked the 5th while wearing his dress greens? The committee granted him immunity and he sang like a canary about the presidential conspiracy known as Iran-Contra. His criminal convictions were overturned based on that grant of immunity.
