Why is the average firearm owner, an unsafe gun owner?

And teaching innocent children that guns are the answer to all their problems. No wonder teens are so prone to suicides by gun.
Yeah. Who is teaching children that guns are the answer to all problems hmmm?
Evidence?

You haven't read all of the thread go back and you will find the evidence.

"Somewhere in over 1800 posts is the answer to your question."

Did you know that somewhere in this thread is also the complete refutation of all the extremist gun control arguments?

Zero of your posts can be used to slaughter people in a room. It's so weird how you gun folks keep telling us only a gun can properly protect you and then compare its protection to everything from fb posts to spatulas.
Lmao. So now you realize that your argument about twitter and Facebook is pure bunk . Since they aren’t required to do background checks and keep records for use
But gun dealers ARE required to do bacjmkground checks to allow me to exercise my right.

So now we are going to the emotional “ can’t be used to slaughter people in a room.

Okay, let’s explore that.
So we average some 46700 “ gun deaths “ each year or so. Over 50 percent are suicides.

From 2021 to 2022 there were approximately 232,000 Covid deaths that could have been prevented if the victims had been vaccinated .

The free speech containing anti vaccine rhetoric is directly responsible for those deaths

Most certainly that free speech caused FAR more deaths than my firearms ever had.
And continue to cause deaths.

Should we discuss the rise in attacks on Asians after trumps “ free speech” on “
“ Chinese flu”.?

“More recently, political leaders, including President Donald Trump, referred to COVID-19 as the "China virus" or "Kung Flu", which fueled anti-Asian sentiment and scapegoating.

This rhetoric contributed to a significant rise in hate crimes and violent attacks against Asian Americans. Stop AAPI Hate reported thousands of incidents, including physical assaults, verbal harassment, and property damage. High-profile attacks included the murder of six Asian women in the Atlanta spa shootings in March 2021.”

Would you like me to keep going I’m on all the death caused by the freedom to speak?

You haven't read all of the thread go back and you will find the evidence.
In other words you have nothing but your usual hyperbole.

Wait what’s next? We have nuclear weapons because gun owners now claim nuclear weapons are the answer to “ everything” .

Sheesh. Why can’t you gun banners at least TRY to be honest?

Hollywood.....
Bingo. Circle gets the square.

If there is one entity most responsible for teaching that violence should be the first action to resolve a dispute it’s Hollywood.
But those folks are mostly democrats so ,, “ oh no we can’t be critical of them”
But the average gun owner? They are fai game even though in no way are they promoting violence.

.So now we are going to the emotional “ can’t be used to slaughter people in a room.
It's not really emotional so much as a factual. And my point remains: gun folks both insist guns aren't anything more interesting than any other household tool, except they also insist only sacred guns can keep anyone safe.

What emerged in the 1970s was not your father’s NRA. It was not some conserving of the founding father’s vision of freedom, or “original intent” of the 2A. It was a radical new extremist group.

Just to get a feel for how radical they have become, let’s look at where they stood before the 1970s:

“I have never believed in the general practice of carrying weapons. I do not believe in the general promiscuous toting of guns. I think it should be sharply restricted and only under licenses.”
-Karl T. Frederick, president of the NRA, 1939

What happened to the NRA is that they were bought out by the gun manufacturers and from then on they only care about selling more and more guns to people no matter what the cost in American lives. It has worked well for them too. There are 1.2 guns for every person in America.

Nothing happened to them something happened to you. You decided to freak out about guns and you know I became defensive against you that's part of their charter. But that's all that changed they still do training they still do gun safety so what are you talking about what happened to them there's still the same organization that they always were.

Does your position include that people with suicide ideation should also divest themselves of ropes, drugs, and motor vehicles? Should they store their medications in less than lethal quantities in separate medicine safes?

There is nothing in being a responsible firearm owner that excludes an individual who has contemplated suicide.
That is a heartless and cold position. Don't you care in the least for your fellow man? Suicidal thoughts are most often fleeting and a gun turns a fleeting thought into death far too easily. The data shows that over 90% of those that fail in the 1st suicide attempt do not die by suicide. No one with even a hint of suicidal thoughts should have access to a gun. That is the 1st thing a doctor will tell you.

Are you saying the NRA has not changed?

LOL Denying facts is second nature to you now isn't it?

In its 1967 official history Americans and Their Guns, the National Rifle Association stated that it “…is not affiliated with any manufacturer of arms or ammunition or with any jobber or dealer who sells firearms and ammunition.” Those days are long gone. As documented by the Violence Policy Center’s two Blood Money studies, the NRA has received tens of millions of dollars from its gun industry “corporate partners.” Industry members who donate a million dollars or more to the NRA are inducted into the organization’s Golden Ring of Freedom, the honors of which include a yellow sports coat. Among the industry members who have given a million dollars or more to the NRA are Remington Outdoor Company (formerly Freedom Group), Smith & Wesson, Beretta USA, Springfield Armory, and Sturm, Ruger & Co. as well as accessories vendors MidwayUSA and Brownells.

Violence policy center give me a break.

That is a heartless and cold position.
This is emotional pleading.
Don't you care in the least for your fellow man?
I don't think giving up all of my rights will somehow help my fellow man I think it will make things worse for them.
Suicidal thoughts are most often fleeting and a gun turns a fleeting thought into death far too easily.
So I shouldn't have guns because of this? Make that make sense please.
The data shows that over 90% of those that fail in the 1st suicide attempt do not die by suicide.
Relate this to ownership of guns please.
No one with even a hint of suicidal thoughts should have access to a gun.
That's up to them.
That is the 1st thing a doctor will tell you.
We don't live in a prison.

What facts did I deny?

Violence policy center give me a break.
The fact the the NRA is completely owned and supported by the gun makers and that it wasn't always that way. That has fundamentally changed the NRA and not in a good way.

Should they have access to a rope? Prescription drugs? Over the counter drugs? Tall buildings? Railroad crossings?

The American Rifleman had gun advertisements from its beginnings. What's that if not giving money to the NRA?

Should they have access to a rope? Prescription drugs? Over the counter drugs? Tall buildings? Railroad crossings?
They don't care about that because it's not political and they can't use it for an example and they call you heartless.
