Why I am non-religious

Then stop posting absolute **** or better yet come back with an intelligent response when it is pointed out what absolute crap you talk.

When I get an intelligent question I will. Until then, go away.

Reminds me of my days in color matching. We had a saying: "Everything matches in the dark". In other words, if you can't see it, it doesn't matter what color it is. As it is, though, we CAN see it, since most of us have vision and color vision to boot, and most of us have consciousness that tells us what's red and what's blue and what's right and wrong. I'm sure if I put a baby on a butcher's block and chopped it up with a cleaver you would tell me that is evil, as most people would, without having to be told.

Depends on how annoying the baby was being. ;)

Your another who simply reads a title and then makes an assumption. You obviously did not bother to read the article itself. I did not argue that the jews did not exist or that there is evidence of their tribes. i argued that the story of moses is nothing more than a fairy tale.
You have not only not done your due dilligance but you also fail to fact check what you think is evidence.

I've read that article numerous times. You didn't even have a clue about all that evidence until it was force-fed to you. It was also amusing that you confused accounts of Moses in the Torah with what I asked for - evidence that the Gospel accounts were fictitious. You apparently don't know one end of the Bible from the other.

Enjoy life while you can, but watch out for that first step into eternity because it's going to be a real shocker for you.

Good thing we aren't eternal.

This is hilarious. Reading is fundamental.

It spoke only of the fact that the tribes of israel existed and that they were persecuted by the egyptians. But that was not the argument was it? The argument is about the story of moses leading the tribes into the desert for 40 years. A story in your bible that is only a fictitious account of what your link talked about.

It's called historical fiction where non existent characters are made up, like moses. You have proved nothing when it comes to the argument of whether any of the stories in the bible are true or not. But you have proved you will move the goal posts to cover over your failure.

Comprehension is even more vital. He saw the words of the title, probably skimmed read and saw the words exodus a few times and thought hew had something. But all he has is the fact that the jews existed and were persecuted by the egyptians. Which is not what is being denied.

And he wants everyone else to do their due diligence. That makes it even funnier. Not sure why he is hanging around this thread in the philosophical discussions. He would fit in better in the religious discussions where they can interpret things any way they want.

The usual con of a theist. They like to pretend they have actually read the bible. Where as the reality is many of them have not. Atheists tend to have a better track record of having read it because it is the very reason why most people reject this jesus and his crap.

The religious subforum is under stricter rules when it comes to not bashing other religious viewpoints.

I would expect truly religious people to be tolerant of other religious views.

If someone were to scientifically, without a shred of doubt, prove the existence of god(s), he would destroy all religions in one swell foop. Why, you ax? Because he would eliminate the need for faith. The existence of god(s) would cease to be a belief, and just another natural fact.

You say that like it's a bad thing. Faith is believing what you know ain't so. There should be no need for faith. There is only a need for facts.

It didn't speak ONLY of the tribes of Israel and that they were persecuted.

Evidently you saw the words of the title, probably hastily skimmed through the body of the evidences presented, and issued your usual denials. What a waste.

Neither you nor anyone else has ever presented any evidence of the supernatural

Neither you nor anyone else has ever presented any evidence of the supernatural

If you ignore the evidence of the supernatural....

Nor will they, because they can't. It won't stop them from pretending though. It's all make believe.
