Why Hide Subforums?

Why does this site have subforums hidden inside subforums? I only recently learned we have a dating and sports subforum, but they were buried behind other subforums. Why not have them all displayed on the homepage?

I've been here many rears and have had no idea that 'sub forums' even existed'. We're not all as clever as you.

Homepage (to me) seems to have the subjects OP mentions in plain view.



Surely there are variations between browsers though, desktop vs mobile etc.

This isn't true. Can't link the evidence, but I've proven it wrong.

The only forum I see which is truly hidden from the Main Page is the Israel and Palestine forum, which is a sub-sub-forum of Middle East, which is a subforum of International Politics. It looks like otherwise the approach taken is to only have two levels of forums, so this could be fixed by promoting it to a full subforum.

Get in a few more posts and time and then a very unique area will open up. Can't talk about it.
