Why GOP crocodile tears on oversight are pathetic

Whatever his reason for making such a scene instead of letting the various agencies quietly do their jobs, prepare their reports and then move on ... it was stupid on his part and look at the cascade of frustration he has brought upon himself by not being able to act in a professional manner.

Whatever his reason for actions which LOOKED like obstruction of justice, he has opened a barn door that isn't closing any time soon because of all the corruption it revealed in his inner circle. Including his own lies about his business dealings in Russia.

Seriously stupid on his part.

There is no reason for the investigation. He is complaining about that.

Maybe you should consider reality instead of fantasy scenarios pulled out of thin air.

Tell me, what evidence is there that the Trump campaign colluded with the Russians? BTW, how effective was that Russian meddling in 2016? Was it as effective as the MSM meddling in every election? No. Was it as effective as the Mueller meddling in the 2018 election? No.

What are you talking about?

Asked and answered countless times here. You have absolutely no honest interest in the facts of the matter, so why ask for what you don't care about?

Good luck with your magical thinking.

Answer. I don't want your ideology. I want facts.

They've been provided. You simply ignore them.

You'll have to play that game all by yourself.

You'll believe anything bad against Trump. You did B4 Mueller. You aren't objective.

There is no reason for the investigation. He is complaining about that.

He is complaining about everything. And digging the holes deeper and deeper for himself and his shady inner circle.

Whether he was right or wrong on some technical point about the investigation, his complaints (and his firings) got him a special counsel. That didn't have to happen. If he simply kept his big fat mouth shut, this would have been over in a few months and there would have been no special counsel. And he could have spent some time trying to look like he knew what he was doing instead of showing the world that he is a fool.

Oh, but yes, there was reason for investigating Russian interference with our election. Trump took it personally. That's where he went wrong, over and over and over. Even if Trump felt it was personal he should have kept up the line of "let intelligence do their job, we want to know the truth". But he took it personally and his out-of-control responses elevated the situation into the kind of ongoing series of investigations which he said would be a constitutional crisis when he used such investigations as a reason that Hillary shouldn't be elected.

Trump did this. It could have gone away in a few months. Trump turned it in to a mess for himself and his associates.

I am open to correction but I went through it all and have searched it many times.

3 indictments, 2 convictions and 2 sent to jail.

https://www.dailykos.com/stories/20...elony-arrests-and-convictions-as-of-9-17-2018

How many of those indictments, convictions were because of colluding with Russians?

It's like you guys are charging them with collusion crimes even though their offenses deal nothing with Russian collusion. Their offenses deal nothing with Russian collusion after about 2 years of Mueller investigations.

So, Trump shouldn't complain so he won't dig the hole deeper, is that it?:lamo

The Russia investigation was about Russian interference, not necessarily about collusion.

Hardly anyone thought there was collusion. There appeared to be efforts at collusion, but they seemed to have fallen through. Mostly the investigation was about Russian activities which weren't directly related to Trump.

But Trump kept acting wounded and suspicious and paranoid to a degree unworthy of the office of president, and he let his personal feelings lead him to some stupid mistakes, and that's how we got to the special counsel with the wide mandate, which has been sweeping his associates into the net, and revealing lies Trump told about his Russian involvements.

This didn't need to happen. Trump brought it on by acting like it was all about him ... possibly because he was peeved at the thought that people would say he couldn't have won the election without Russian manipulation of social media. Whatever was going on in his nightmare of a brain, this should have been a simple investigation which concluded that Russians were up to no good in a general way, but he turned it into his own personal Watergate with no end in sight yet.

No evidence of Russian interference with help from the Trump campaign after about 2 years of Mueller investigation, either. And the pretext for the Mueller investigation was phony.

But, I guess any time one can resist the GOP all's good, no?

That ship has sailed.

But in a word, yes.

Trump should have acted presidential. He shouldn't have acted like a big whiny baby firing the people who were doing what should have been a routine job, threatening people who weren't firing the other people he wanted fired, tweeting about how he wanted to fire more people, and all the ways that he flirted with and possibly crossed over into true obstruction of justice. He made it a mess because he couldn't let Intelligence do their job in investigating Russia's bad behavior.

And now Trump is stuck at the bottom of a hole that he dug.

Just resist the GOP.

It's Trump's fault that we have an ongoing special counsel instead of a shelf full of routine reports on how Russia tried to sway public opinion.

Trump fired or threatened all the people who could have put quietly to bed

That's how we got the special counsel.

I'd say it was Hillary's fault. If Hillary had won, there never would've been the phony investigation.

Just defend Trump's epic stupidity.

Trump may be stupid at times (he's not a professional politician) but he's not as dishonest as the phony investigation.

Investigation is real. Trump made it about himself. Didn't have to, but he did.

The end.

Why GOP crocodile tears on oversight are pathetic

...They are pathetic because "crocodile tears" re: anything are pathetic.
