you seem to be confusing what actually proves something. Trump doesn't have to prove he is not guilty (You seem confused-the duty is on the prosecution to prove guilt, defendants never have to prove innocence).

You also seem to believe that the findings of a democrat majority was based on objective proof, not political hackery.

The impeachment process is what it is. You can complain all you want about it (and you do), but in the end everyone must follow it. If Trump and Republicans get to decide that the whole impeachment process is a sham and that they can disregard it and not take it seriously, then they are basically ignoring the Constitution and the rule of law.

Since she isn't a Senator and has no say in how the Senate will handle the trial, it sounds more like her impeachment articles can't stand on their own merit or she would have let them speak for themselves.

That is the bottom line, ladies and gentlemen. McConnell is protecting Trump because he knows Trump is guilty. Pure and simple.

In addition, you would think that people like John Bolton, Mick Mulvaney, and Rudy Giuliani would enthusiastically come forward to testify in order to defend their boss. But they have not and they will not unless forced to by Democrats. Because they know Trump is guilty, too.

There is a silent majority of Republicans out there who actually do care about the truth. Republican Senators know this and they are going to have a difficult time avoiding this, especially if this drags out over the next several weeks or several months. The longer this impeachment saga goes on, the more precarious it will become for Trump.

I'm going to continue to believe that Trump will ultimately be removed from office. The truth will eventually win the day. The rule of law will eventually win the day. I believe that at least 20 courageous Republican Senators will step up to the plate and remove this dangerous, corrupt despot.

Otherwise, we have lost as a nation and I'm just not willing to accept that yet. But if I'm wrong, then I will be the first to admit it.
