Why Do Trump Supporters Insist Attempted Crimes Aren't Crimes?

Who did he bribe and where is the evidence.
You realize that accusations have to be proven right?

None of the witnesses had evidence of bribery.

The phone call transcript is the evidence

So if I think about robbing a bank but don't do it am I guilty of a crime?

Nobody said that. Taking actions to carry out a crime is illegal whether or not the crime succeeds.

To you, anyone that doesn't hate Trump is a Trump-cultist.

Trump has done and said innumerable things that would have sunk any other politician’s career. Insult POWs? Claim windmills cause cancer? Brag about grabbing winning by the genitals? Prepare for political career to be sunk. But not Teflon Don. Remember, he can shoot someone on Fifth Avenue. He wouldn’t get away with all this crap without a cultist following.

I watched every witness testify and I found one common denominator. Under Republican questioning every witness stated they have no knowledge of any bribery, quid pro quo, or any other impeachable crimes. Every witness stated they were testifying to their presumptions and/or assumptions. So I was wondering what evidence isn't being washed away.

Keep in mind that Bill testifying to what he heard from Sue, that spoke with Dave, who had a call with Jim doesn't count.

They were asked if the words ‘bribery’ ‘extortion’ ‘quid pro quo’ etc were used. Of course they weren’t used. Saying the word murder doesn’t make an actual murder any more or less real. Perhaps you should rewatch those hearings and start listening to those questions with a more critical eye. Read between the lines in those questions and answers.

You can if you stand your ground and do your job well.

It's not true that no other politician can get away with things at this level or higher. Bill committed multiple felonies but was acquitted. Hillary Clinton committed literally thousands of felonies, and was never charged. Only Republicans cannot say or do such things.

“I need you to do me a favor though.”
Good. Focus on that sentence. It's a friendly request based on a history of goodwill.

What annoys the ever loving **** out of anyone with a shred of integrity is having to watch the lengths POS liberals will go to make a crime out of nothing when it is a Republican yet will allow any and every excuse to be made why their very own crooked SOB's are innocent, even when caught red handed.

Many politicians have had affairs and broken the law. Tell me what politician has insulted veterans/POWs (or any equivalent comment) and did not pay a heavy political price for it?

As I said before, the only politician I can think of with such a rabid following was Mao.

That was never even asked anything close to that. Nice try though. Would you like to see for yourself how the questions were put to the witnesses? It can be summed up in a 2 minute video.

Why Do Trump Supporters Insist Attempted Crimes Aren't Crimes?

The truth to this question is so obvious.

The media has repeatedly lied about the president actions, so many times, they have no credibility in the dirt they report on him any more.

Rabid describes the media better than Trump supporters. CNN and NYT used to have excellent reputations for principled journalism.

Consider this:

Fairness and impartiality, should be the hallmark of all news articles and news analyses that appear in the Times. It is of paramount importance that people or organizations accused, criticized or otherwise cast in a bad light have an opportunity to speak in their own defense. Thus it is imperative that the reporter make every effort to reach the accused … If it is not possible to do so, the article should say that the effort was made and explain why it did not succeed.

Once again, specific words don’t need to be used to commit a crime. You don’t need to say the word murder to be arrested for hiring a hit an to off a spouse. The White House claims it halted military aid due to corruption? Why was this standard not applied to one of the most corrupt nations: Saudi Arabia? Why is it Trump only mentioned Bidens in that memo, not overall corruption?

Lol, I’m not going to address your whataboutism. Not a single talking head would have gotten away with insulting POWs the way Trump did.

That is true, yet despite Bill Clinton's confession to felony charges included in articles of impeachment he was found "not guilty" by (enough of) the Senate. The argument will likely be that while Trump may well have done some illegal things that is not cause to remove him from office.

LOL If we imprisoned every man who lied about an affair half the men in the world would be in jail. Abuse of Presidential power by attempted extortion of a foreign ally is quite a another story.

Like hell they haven't.

Correct. Bribery is a crime. "High Crimes and Misdemeanors" is defined by the House, but abuse of power is mutually agreed upon as a crime.

Bribery is a crime, but there is no clear evidence that such a crime was committed.

It means you stated something ridiculously untrue.

What is ridiculous is how anyone could state they 'prefer soldiers who don't get caught' and see the supporters turn a blind ear to it. Disgusting. Every Trump Supporter should be ashamed.

lol, Just how are you supposed to have a quid pro quo without the quid? Heres your first clue. If he doesn't say he is holding up the funding until (X) happens then all you have is what we saw at the hearings. Everyone testifying to what they PRESUMED happened. You actually thought you could convict someone on what you think they were thinking?

Hilarious

For the record, I thought Clinton should've been removed from office. He disgraced the office with his conduct.

As for Trump, if those illegal things include bribery, our Constitution explicitly mentions bribery as one of the qualifications for impeachment and removal.

“If” [emoji849] But presently more like “how can the English language be butchered to make something, anything, all logical and moral standards set aside, to make it appear like a crime”. Or was it because the EC is outdated?

What’s the excuse again for not accepting a valid democratic election?

Politicians have done faaaaar worse and didn't see any adverse effects....lol.

When they have, you defended them. I don't see you complaining about the dumb ass **** that Democrats say. Ever!

Disagreed, but I'm looking forward to the report which will released and forwarded to the Senate.

FWIW, I strongly doubt the Republican Senate would convict Trump even if there were pictures of him murdering a child and drinking blood from the body.

You don't have to love him for it, but there are worse things and at least it's out where you can see it.

He's doing a good job. We have peace and prosperity. So what if he's an A-hole?
