If Obama hates this country, why would he work so hard to be President?

The whole basis of it, the individual mandate, was an idea that Republicans had been pushing for years.

If you want to kill a well guarded man the best way to do it would to become head of his security. If you want to destroy a country, the best way to do it is to become the most powerful man in that country
Be honest -- you don't really believe that BS, do you?
Fine, but it was the Republicans' idea in the first place. Romney used it first, Gingrich thought it was a great idea, and Obama used it for Obamacare. Now you ask what input the GOP had? They should sue Obama for violating their intellectual property!based on the fact that we who pay taxes are forced to pay for the care of those who won't

This where I don't get it "fundamentally opposed." YAWN ya know I actually agreed some of Bush's views as well as Clinton, Bush 41, Carter, Nixon, Reagan and Obama.
It just ain't all in package.
The Great Value brand is almost a dollar cheaper than Reynolds; just thought I'd save you some money since apparently you're buying in bulk.If you want to kill a well guarded man the best way to do it would to become head of his security. I think Obama is ambivalent towards America's greatness and that was instilled in him by a mother who was hateful towards this country. I think he believes he can make America better by imposing stuff I find to be harmful. But I don't believe he really loves America as it currently exists
Classic! :lol:Seriously? From the guy with the Ouck Fbama avatar?
and Kennedy was the first guy to suggest massive federal tax cuts after the Hoover/FDR massive tax hikes. I guess Kennedy's estate should have sued Reagan. And JFK also got the special forces really going. Different times.
and Romney's plan was a state's rights issue. I guess to most people that means nothing. To me it is a huge huge difference.
Are ya sitting down ... ?I think this entire thread is based on your strawman. I've never seen a conservative say "I hate Obama." I have, however, seen many say "I hate everything he stands for and everything he does.
I know its hard to understand, but those two things are vastly different. I don't hate him personally, I just think he's the worst president this country has seen in decades, many decades.
I'm glad bin Laden is dead, but in rejoicing, lets make sure that the people that deserve the credit get it. I hate Obama, yes, can't stand the man, but he did good with saying "yea go get 'em." However, I am disappointed that he wanted to take bin Laden alive. I am sorely disappointed in hearing that.
I hate the man as much as the next guy, but don't lie about him. He's bad enough scum that the truth about what he does is good enough. I'm tired of this. I should be able to at least get a half way accurate idea of what the article is about when I read the title. In this case, I would be 100% wrong, and so would most people.
[to a Conservative] I think your blind hatred for Obama has you dumbfounded. I think someone spilled foxnews koolaid in your eyes, because you surely are NOT seeing what I'm typing.
Why?
Fox News had been peddling fear and veiled racism for 3 years.
People can become addicted to fear and anxiety. IMO Fox News viewers cling to the lies that make them feel the most fear and discomfort.
Are ya sitting down ... ?
wait for it . . .

For over over 4 years now, since the President started campaigning, I have heard any number of contortions, flip flops and outright lies from conservatives. I have come to the conclusion that the only logical, reasoned explanation for this is illogical unreasonable hatred. So I ask the following question.
Why do conservatives harbor such a hatred for the President?
I have my own ideas on this but thought it would be nice to hear other opinions.
