Why do conservatives hate the President?

If you want to kill a well guarded man the best way to do it would to become head of his security. If you want to destroy a country, the best way to do it is to become the most powerful man in that country

Yeah - hate's a bit strong: reality is that he doesn't approve of how this country currently is and has a different view of how it should be and would like to change it.

Don't we all? We just all want to go in different directions.

He is condescending towards American's, though - nay, everyone.

Because they think, and rightfully so in many ways IMO, that Obama's policies are damaging America. They don't hate him, as a person, just what he's doing in office.

I think Bush was a douchebag too and disagreed with most of what he did as well.

I think Obama is ambivalent towards America's greatness and that was instilled in him by a mother who was hateful towards this country. I think he believes he can make America better by imposing stuff I find to be harmful. But I don't believe he really loves America as it currently exists

Fine, but it was the Republicans' idea in the first place. Romney used it first, Gingrich thought it was a great idea, and Obama used it for Obamacare. Now you ask what input the GOP had? They should sue Obama for violating their intellectual property!
 

and Kennedy was the first guy to suggest massive federal tax cuts after the Hoover/FDR massive tax hikes. I guess Kennedy's estate should have sued Reagan. And JFK also got the special forces really going. Different times.

and Romney's plan was a state's rights issue. I guess to most people that means nothing. To me it is a huge huge difference.

No clue at all what you intended to say in your last sentence. Since you put in quotes "fundamentally opposed," maybe you can tell me which word you don't understand--the "fundamentally" or the "opposed"?

If my simplifying will help, there is NOTHING about Obama's 2008 platform with which I agreed. I don't agree with his world view. I think he's wrong on big government and abortion and gun control. Hope this helps you understand "fundamental." In between YAWNS, maybe you can think through the "opposed." Think "disagree."

Different times? It wasn't 30 years ago, it was at least as recently as 2005. A couple of years later, it was the centerpiece of Obamacare. Different times was 2 years later? You ask what the GOP's input was? That was it. The centerpiece of the whole ****ing thing was their idea.

I can buy the states rights thing, except that it was what Gingrich and McCain and many others in the GOP wanted to pass FOR THE WHOLE COUNTRY. Which is exactly what Obama did. Now it's suddenly a 10th Amendment issue? Bull-guano. (I've decided to say guano instead of ****. Sounds classier).

People can become addicted to fear and anxiety. IMO Fox News viewers cling to the lies that make them feel the most fear and discomfort.

The American people have been taught to engage in political hate.

The problem is that conservatism and liberalism are at best a clever creation by political machines to take your eyes of government's devious activities. In other words, keep the voters' eyes on the bouncing ball of distraction so they don't question government actions as a whole.

We better start engaging in "REALITYISM" before it's too late. Both these ideologies are being disseminated by those who really don't want you to engage in the political process.

I don't care who is called what...meaning democrat, republican, conservative, liberal, moderate, etc... But we need start to sort out the genuine facts from made up bull**** - and really quickly.

ALL OF THESE FOLKS are ****ing us to death...and I can't believe that as many people in the US believe that their are parties and government officials who really care about the best interest of America. They care about power and power and more power. WE are the slaves who are continually paying them to grow their power.
 

Were you surprised and dismayed when liberals ( I think they are called progressives now) said horrible things about Bush??

BTW- you don't have to be a conservative to dislike Obama. I don't think he has been a good leader for the left or the right, just a bad leader.

As a Democrat from a Republican family (My grandfather literally ran for state senate in SC 3 times) I have a few theories. For me, I have always thought every president in my lifetime genuinely thought what they were doing was for the better of our nation, even if they were just a puppet (GWB actually comes to mind there). I think ever single president has contributed something great that has helped us all but also, each has contributed a great burden from Regan on up, since those 5 presidents are all within my life span so far.

My theories are:

-Republicans hate him because AM radio and Fox news tells them to hate him for stupid ****
-His full name
-He is black
-The GOP propaganda makes him out to be an elitist because he is educated.
-Traditionally before being president, had many true liberal views
-He isn't from the south (look at most of the presidents the past couple decades; every single one of them from LBJ on up before Obama could claim they are from the south)
-He never was governor and this is a huge thing in many respects, instead he made it to the senate
-he is mixed
-he is much strongly for gay rights and womens rights than any president before him
-he has permeated pop culture in a way that not even Clinton managed.
-and of course, he is a democrat
 
The hatred is coming from philosophical warfare...period.

Political crockaganda is driving people crazy. They can't discern fiction from reality anymore and those who perpetrate these philosophies...are getting the results that they want. Divide and Conquer. That isn't a political myth.

Politicians who are seated in government aren't practicing the philosophy that they made claim to get into office. Yet people somehow believe that they do and that one philosophy will be patently more beneficial than the other, which is bull****.

Conservatives can't see how wonderful he is, because we're all racists.
