First the excuse was Comey was fired for the AG letter. Now, it's morphed into the FBI was in 'turmoil' And Trump comes out and admits to obstructing justice in the Lester Holt interview. He says he fired Comey for "made up Russia stuff"

Why did Spicer, Pence, Huckabee-Sanders, and Conway, all have talking points that are contradictory to what Trump says.

What he told everyone, since it seems to have escaped your notice, is that he obstructed justice.

He contradicted his own surrogates for the reason why he fired Comey. Like it or not, that is justification for criticism.

That's your opinion. Comey was just the figurehead of the FBI...he did none of the work. Investigations continue regardless.

Where the hell have you been? The world's been laughing at us since Clinton took office and has not stopped since. At least, now, half of the American public is in on the joke. The other half is busy occupying wall street and relentlessly "resisting" the Trump circus. Simmer down, grab some popcorn and enjoy. Oh wait. You're a progressive. Don't stop. You're the reason Trump is so damn entertaining. I Love Lucy wouldn't be interesting without Ricky running around, "Luuuuuuucy, what have you done!" I mean, clearly Trump is the star, but the progressives are an important sidekick in this American sitcom. The rest of us are kind of like the neighbors, just sort of along for the ride, laughing at the couple's hi-jinx with the audience.

That seems to happen quite often in Trump's circle but, I doubt that's what stirred most of the criticism. It was merely the fact he fired him.

No, it's objective fact. He stated he got rid of Comey because of the Russian probe. Full stop.

That is obstruction of justice, whether you can accept the reality of it or not.

I think the only thing we can count on in this environment is that the Democrats will overreact to everything Trump does and the GOP will underreact to everything he does. Criticism does not seem to fall into either category. It is neither wild hysteria nor bending over backwards with excuses. As such, this sort of behavior cannot be expected from pretty much anyone. And? Just fine with me. I am perfectly entertained by it all.

Firing Comey did nothing to the investigation on Russia. Trump actually said he wants to get to the bottom of Russian involvement in our elections.
