Why they are bad ideas, no they really are bad ideas.
Ever heard of the streisand effect? Censoring and blocking ideas does not make them go away, it actually makes them more prevalent as the masses assume any attempts to cover them up are suspicious and attempts to remove what media and others call lies ends up with people believing more and more that what was covered up was the truth and what the media is presenting is lies. To put it more simply it means any attempts to censor or silence opposing theories makes those theories more mainstream and gains them more acceptance.
This simply means trying to censor parler made parler more powerful, trying to censor election disinformation just made more people convinced the election was rigged, trying to censor or hide anything just makes what you are trying to hide more powerful. The streisand effect was named after the effect streisand faced, where the more she tried to hide, the more in the open it became.
The Streisand effect is a social phenomenon that occurs when an attempt to hide, remove, or censor information has the unintended consequence of further publicizing that information, often via the Internet
There is the jist of the streisand effect, now here is the link
