Why are blacks so privileged?

Maybe you haven't noticed, but the US has a huge prison population, perhaps largest in the world in numbers and per capita, much of it African-American. We are also among the holdouts with the death penalty. Yet we have a lot of crime compared with similar societies. Go figure.
Who's doing most of that crime?

Then what is the point of your statement in a thread that's explicitly about race? Are blacks unjustly victimized by police more than whites?

With little or no accountability how is anyone to make that call? What would you count in order to make that determination?

Yeah. The proliferation of white supremacy within law enforcement is just one of several problems with American police.

If the white guy doesn't get justice then let us know and we'll be sure to be outraged.
And the cop in Minnesota has been charged. What exactly are you outraged about?

Lol like I said, you give away the game. You have American cities being destroyed by people rioting over a LIE, and you're more concerned about looking nice to people who hate you.

Yeah. The proliferation of white supremacy within law enforcement is just one of several problems with American police.
"White supremacy." Is that what you call police enforcing laws while massively outsized shares of blacks are breaking those laws?

It has everything to do with what you posted. Your OP is much the same as everything you post.

Why don't you write the Examiner and ask them why they "ignored" the story?

Because they'd ignore him, too. The realities are that there's a thing called reverse racism, and there is a certain degree of minority privilege built into the system at this point. I understand why it was done, and it was probably necessary, so that minorities were fully integrated into higher education and the cooperate world. But I think to deny that would be disingenuous. Amendments have been passed to protect minorities - not specifically women, not yet - but certainly ethnic and racial minorities. And there's Affirmative Action. Now, I do think Floyd was murdered. I don't think there's any question about it, and his murderer will be brought to a harsh justice. But I also think many, many judges and juries see minority criminals as disadvantaged and are quite lenient, and that brings about repeat offending which can then lead to murders. As a society, we do not want minority suppression. i don't know anybody who does, and I don't believe the vast majority of Americans are racist. I feel compelled to say that even though that was not your point. Thanks!!

No, it's what I call a very clear pattern of bias in the behavior and actions of law enforcement.

I mean it's not the only problem. When you have 40% of law enforcement families dealing with domestic abuse there clearly is a big problem with how we handle law enforcement in this country.

What's the bias? Blacks commit far more crime per capita? Not having police arrest more blacks per capita would be a failure of enforcement.

What's the bias?

I mean off the top of my head, the kind of bias that means that in 20 million traffic stops in South Carolina blacks are more likely to be pulled over than whites, and more likely to be searched. Driving while black indeed.

Like I said, it's hardly the only problem with law enforcement. And to be fair, it's not just cops, it's the criminal justice system as well.

We don't agree, however, I do appreciate your reasoned argument.

Yeah. The proliferation of white supremacy within law enforcement is just one of several problems with American police.

WaPo had an opinion (I think opinion) bit from an ex-WS, and he did specifically mention a lot of his then-brothers going into policing as part of an overall WS push to clean up the image to hide the obviousness of the ugliness and play on the appearance of bad ideas coming from clean-looking people.

Sounds awful. Makes me forget that blacks murder at about 5x the rate of whites.

I mean if you want to have an honest discussion about law enforcement and crime in the United States we can, but if all you want to do is bitch about black people I'm not really interested.

Don't we have enough problems in THIS country?

We are going to debate race issues in Ireland now?

Why don't you keep it a bit more on point?

I mean if you want to have an honest discussion about law enforcement and crime in the United States we can, but if all you want to do is bitch about black people I'm not really interested.
And posting crime statistics is dishonest? Lol.

With tinctures, the method I use, that was recommended, was to put the drops directly under my tongue and keep them there at least 30 seconds.

Yep, exactly what I do except it's on the mint.

Your conceit is that the "honest" discussion must assume your presumptions, that all men are created equal. That's not a given at all, so your discussion with me won't go anywhere because you won't even consider the possibility that there are inherent differences between groups of people.

America had had a white power structure since its inception. Still does.

Today we have a marriage of MAGA and white nationalism. George Wallace would have been envious.

Do you remember George Wallace, because I do. He was a garden variety loudmouth Democrat control freak, like Chuck Schumer and Nazi Pelosi. The fact that he was a racist, like LBJ and Robert Byrd didn't make him any less of a Democrat.

Of course what the media will never tell you is that the black family was far more stable under Wallace and likely more prosperous as well.

another racist thread, just what we need

I will say, these protests are showing very clear who is racist and who is not
Is noting that blacks commit far more murders also racist?

So stating facts is racist?

'72 Percent' Documentary Confronts The Black Community's Single-Parent 'Epidemic' | HuffPost

There is one number that is always mentioned in the discussion of black children born out of wedlock: 72 percent.

Estimations place the growing number of children born to unwed mothers in the 70th percentile of the black population in America. The documentary ‘72 Percent,’ “takes a hard look at the single mother phenomena in the African American community.”

Is that racist?
