There are only 10 available slots, so I'm sorry that I'm choosing to leave Huckabee off the list. If you'd like to vote for him, please comment.

I voted for Kasich but also liked Fiorina and Paul. Fiorina should get a medal just for kicking Trump in the nuts a few times, it was epic.

Someone actually voted for Carson? That human roofie?

I am not sure who won but
Cruz - He proved he cannot be taken seriously. If an event has an extreme take that ignores important facts - that is Cruz's view.
Christie - did well and may have given himself a bump
Trump - held his own - he broke even
Kasich - did very well - he will definitely get a bump
Rand Paul - will have solidified his base and may get a slight bump
Bush - I am not sure about. He did not hurt himself anyway, and he had a few moments.
Rubio - I think he did very well tonight. He came across composed and confident.
Carson did not hurt himself - he broke even
Fiorina may get a small uptick - she should not drop at any rate
Walker did himself no favors

In the earlier debate i thought Santorum looked strong.

that's a pretty decent summary

A debate of this size, I think "win" is more who improved themselves as opposed to necessarily who did the best.

Fiorina is the winner for me. I think this continues her upward trend into the top tier.

I think Rubio did very well, but still comes off as more of a VP nominee at this time.

I think Christie helped himself a lot compared to the last debate. I think he has elements that make Trump attractive to a particular segment of the base whole also having elements that make Bush attractive to a segment. I think of the 3 Non-Bush governors, he's got the build (no pun intended) to make some noise if he can stick around long enough.

I don't think anyone did anything to significantly hurt their stock, but many didn't do anything to help it either when they needed to.

All that will be remembered from this debate is that Jeb smoked pot 40 years ago! Everything else is meaningless. That being said here is a break-down of what I was thinking about the other candidates.

Fiorina did win the debate by performance standards and Christie won the debate on substance. Though the funny thing is she was the one talking about substance lol. I voted for Christie based on the wow factor. I did not see that coming. He looked really strong and held his own. It's good to see that from my Governor on a national stage.

IDK why everyone liked Kasich this time. I am a huge admirer of his, however to me he looked agitated tonight. I don't like weird postures or shaking from candidates. Which is why I was concerned with Perry. Walker meanwhile is entering Perry category. He was doing amazing last year as well, but it looks like he is flaming out. He is not doing well and will probably be one of the next ones to drop out. Thanks to Trump.

Pretty accurate.
Trump's schtick is maybe getting old.
Bush seems like he's not enthralled with the process, but did okay.

I didn't see the early show.
Did Rick manage to out-Christian Jindal?

Of people that matter, perhaps Rubio or Christie.

Kasich and Bush are the two I'm most pulling for at this point.

The polls will show otherwise, but I think we've proven that 57% of Republican primary voters currently answering these polls deserve a good whack over the head.

Honestly, I don't think there was a "winner". Debate was basically a cross between The View and Maury Povich.

Who was the smoothest, best prepared, most practiced? Carly Fiorina... because she is a master saleswoman who has spent her entire life hawking a single product... herself... and she's damned good at it.

Who looked the silliest, while trying not to? Trump. He tried to behave, honest, but like Popeye, he yam what he yam.

Who looked the most frighteningly insane? It's a draw between Huckabee and Cruz. The thought of either of 'em in the WH scares me so much I have to change underwear.

Who looked the most naive and out of place? Carson, bless his heart. Nicest guy on the planet, perhaps, but it became crystal clear that he doesn't have a clue what a president really does, and must do.

Who stepped up a notch? Christie, actually; he made his points well, and probably will be reflected with a bump in the polls. Rubio didn't hurt himself; didn't help himself much either, though. Kasich said the right things for the most part, but I kept feeling that underneath the rational, moderate words raged a frightening extremist heart ala Huckabee/Cruz, he just covered it better; still, I liked him and he bears watching despite my suspicion. Ron Paul, because I found myself nodding and agreeing with him on occasion. Jeb Bush did a much better job in this debate, but still looked stiff and uncomfortable; over all, he did pretty well.

So far, I can't really get excited about anyone yet.

Don't you worry.
By the time all 46* of the debates are finished, someone will grab you.

*There aren't actually 46 debates, it will only seem that way.

Or I might end up casting a write-in vote for Mighty Mouse. I've done it before.

Giants won tonight! Peavy was awesome!

You wasted your vote on Mighty Mouse?
What can you be thinking?
I am telling you, Mickey Mouse is the one rodent who can lead the USA to even greater greatness.....
Hmmm....speaking of rodents, that sounds like something Trump might say.:)

Giants won tonight! Peavy was awesome!
Yeah, but they let a win slip away last night---yet again.
The Giants have played themselves into such a chasm, that they practically have to run the table to make the playoffs.
Hope springs eternal, though.....Go Giants!!

I am sure this will change, but presently according to Time, Trump won by 67 % of 58364 Votes.

Donald Trump 67 %

Jeb Bush 2 %

Scott Walker 1 %

Carly Fiorina 14 %

Ben Carson 3 %

Marco Rubio 5 %

Ted Cruz 1 %

Mike Huckabee 0 %

Rand Paul 4 %

John Kasich 2 %

Chris Christie 2 %

Not "they"... ROMO. They had a hard-won game in the bag, then the damned bullpen pissed it away AGAIN!!

They're the walking wounded. Literally half of our entire A Team has spent more than half the season on the DL. Pence, Panik, Aoki... they're all done for the rest of the year. We're playing rookies against the big boys now, so I really don't expect much. Besides, it's not an even year. I'm already thinking about 2016, lol!

Carly Fiorina clearly won the debate. She seemed to do far better handling questions (including the Trump attack question.) She seemed to have a better balance between the typical rhetoric and actual answers over just about everyone else on the stage. And lastly, she seemed to have a reasonable (but not perfect) handle on foreign affairs in a manner that appeals to the party. Even though I do not agree with here entirely, I liked her "character of our nation" response to the Planned Parenthood & potential government shutdown over a budget question.

Leaving Huckleberry off the list was an extremely good idea actually !!!

Hopefully the GOP will take a cue from you soon as well !!!

Only if you are a war hawk praying for WW3 and Armageddon.

Carly proved herself to be totally incompetent at diplomacy -- typical for a former CEO.

If I had to choose between Trump and Kasich, then I would choose Kasich.

If I had to choose between Trump and any DEM, then I would choose Trump.

This was my initial read as well.

However upon further review, and replay, it does appear that Kasich and Trump improved themselves a lot while nobody else did.

Carly now looks as crazy as Cruz and Paul. You cannot argue that she won anything.

Jeb did a better job this time than last, but he still needs more coaching.

He should stop talking about his brother and his dad. Everybody else is trying to forget about those 2.

Jeb should just talk about Jeb.

I voted for Rubio who had some JFK moments with is strong stands on foreign policy and his warming tale of this Grandfather and his connection to Reagan But I admit that Florin gained the most from the night and established herself as someone to be taken seriously.

Her problem is the more you see of her - think of her California Senate race - the more you do not like her. She did a good job defending her HP record last night - but a Dem is going to destroy her on it and she will not be able to get away with that same stuff when it is not such a pro corporation/pro big business crowd.
