Who Needs An Army/Military To Defeat The U.S.?

And just think, we have had this many die of the coronavius in the WORLD Deaths:

13,685

And we had 80,000 die of the Flu in the U.S. alone in 2018?

Oh my....

The likelihood is that doing everything right the virus will be contained and a low % of people will die. But, we have to do the things we are doing to get things done right. You don't think we need to do so. You think we can just continue on, life as normal. That would be deadly disastrous. You just don't get that. What we're doing is the right thing. We knew enough, though, to have started to do more, earlier.

Oh my....

That's interesting. I got this from the CDC:

Estimated Influenza Illnesses, Medical visits, Hospitalizations, and Deaths in the United States — 2018–2019 influenza season | CDC

CDC estimates that the burden of illness during the 2018–2019 season included an estimated 35.5 million people getting sick with influenza, 16.5 million people going to a health care provider for their illness, 490,600 hospitalizations, and 34,200 deaths from influenza (Table 1).

This is even more interesting 2017 -2018

Boy Lursa, you're becoming quite the My nemesis(LOL)

Sept. 27, 2018 -- Influenza was deadlier last season than it has been for at least four decades, killing 80,000 Americans. So said the head of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention late Tuesday in an interview with the Associated Press.

80,000 Americans Died From Flu Last Year

He is overseeing massive spending as well. I think that is not good, but you cannot stop Congress from spending money it does not have because it has a long history of such fiscal irresponsibility.

So you would think presidents would not want to put their name on it?

About 80% of the people who contact this Coronavirus do not need hospitalization

The majority of that 20% who do are old people?

What that compared to the regular Flu?

So what? Everyone is forced to pay taxes.

You are always dead set against others getting anything from the government. But when it's you benefiting from a socialist program, you suddenly think it's acceptable and make excuses.

So what? Everyone is forced to pay taxes
.

No, not everyone is "forced" to pay taxes

What we need is more whataboutism. Every time I read a post about something else that has caused mass casualties, I feel much safer.

So the Abortion issue must make you feel safe?

The average social security recipient gets about 1/3 more than they ever contributed.... How expensive would it be for someone on social security to get a health insurance policy these days... You scored big with medicare...

The average social security recipient gets about 1/3 more than they ever contributed.

So are you making a point about the failures of social security system?

Yes, those who protest "socialism" sure seem to regularly cash their social security check.....

You're just a little sore from my other thread that we're 17th in the world in education

I understand

Look at what this manufactured(Hysteria) virus crisis is doing to us?

I think there's quite a bit that people may overreact to.

But the reaction to the crisis isn't some Democrat crafted hoax. This is world wide. If perhaps ONLY the US was freaking out and reacting like we are then I would give more weight to the argument that this is manufactured. However, since the world is reacting like this and Italy is dying off, I don't think this hysterics are completely manufactured here.

Agreed, that's not the "manufacturing" i'm taking about.

It's the media, our citizenry and public officials that are doing it

Nope...you couldnt even clarify your untranslatable sentences, you just used them to backpeddle.

Your not a school teacher are ya?(LOL)

My first degree was in environmental education and I taught in and outside of schools, created curricula, lesson plans, etc.

(Btw, you used the wrong form of 'you are' ha ha ha...I never correct that stuff but since you are asking about teaching credentials :lamo )

I mean, this is global. Our media isn't powerful enough to cause the world to react, nor our public officials so "official" as to freak out the world. Well I mean, Trump does his best to cause great concern and worry across the globe. But still, this is a global response. And there is reason to be concerned, look at Italy.

So I cannot claim this is some manufactured hoax. It's too wide spread. I do think that there is overreaction, but that's mostly people doing that and it's not confined to just the US. It's fundamentally rooted in the fact that humans are apes, and collectively we act like it.
