Oh yeah, the economy had nothing to do why we had a strong distaste for republicans. I wish, only, hell I pray (and I'm an atheist) that fellow republicans could only taste that same disgusting thing we had in our office. Then they would realize never to vote republican again. America forgets emotions, America doesn't care, and it is people like you that convince them to do so.
Remind me again what the unemployment, under employment, debt, misery index were when Obama took office and what they are today?
The misery index doesn't prove ****. Inflation s not indicator of the economy. Sadly, something you will never learn.Have you applied numbers of actual individuals to you graphs? Cost of living is a major factor driving consumer confidence as well as the misery index and the cost of living was much higher in the 81-82 recession than it is today therefore misery index isn't bogus at all
The argument that the recession inherited by obama is worse than Reagan's is bogus and the misery index proves it.
Very intelligent reason not to vote for a Republican, taste that same disgusting thing we had in our office? Are we supposed to know what you are talking about?
Maybe you should learn that Democrats where not in charge of the Senate when the recession began in March of 2001 before projecting your shortcomings onto others?
Just sayin'.
What the hell does Congress have to do with anything, it was Bush's economic policy that he implemented while Governor of TX that put the country in recession 2 months after he took office. Remember Presidents are totally responsible for the economy but only when that President is a Republican who affects the economy for the next four years after he leaves office.
That other thing, Cheney...
Cheney was disgusting? Would love to discuss that further but not on this thread. Seems Bush isn't part of this thread either but both you and Sheik cannot seem to let him go. When is the statue of limitations up on Bush? One would think that the superior intelligent class(Liberals) with total control of Congress in overwhelming numbers and the most brilliant President in U.S. History should have solved the problem in the two years from 2009-2010. Maybe they aren't as intelligent as you believe or that "hope and change" message meant something different to them than you?
The difference is that no one claims Bush caused the 2001 recession, while you insist that Democrats and Obama caused the 2007 recession.
I have a question, how can you ignore ALL of the evidence provided to you? Are you now arguing for the sake of argument?
Remind me again what the unemployment, under employment, debt, misery index were when Obama took office and what they are today?
Same question to you except my evidence comes from none partisan sites and not op ed pieces. Facts seem to confuse you. Percentage change is irrelevant when it is real dollars and real people that matter.
Did you know that Kublai Khan ruled over the greatest sized empire ever? It just so happens that Genghis Khan did most of that work for him though.
Genghis Khan didn't have a Constitution to uphold.
Who doesn't blame Bush? You are right, I would have thought that liberals were smart enough to get it the first time and thus move on. I was wrong so I have to continue to repeat it because here we are at the end of 2011 and Bush is still being blamed for the Obama results.
Who doesn't blame Bush?
Do you think the policies of Barack Obama and the Democrats or George W. Bush and the Republicans are more responsible for the country's current economic problems?
CNN/ORC, September 23-25, 1,010 adults, MoE+/-3
- Obama and Democrats: 32%
- Bush and Republicans: 52%
- Both equally (vol.): 13%
It isn't what Bush did in 2007, that's your strawman, it's what he did in 2003 ... passing legislation which opened up the floodgates to homeownership by those who could least afford it ... and by what Republicans didn't do in 2003, 2004, or 2005, which was to pass much needed oversight to prevent wall street from writing them toxic loans.Too bad civics isn't a strong suit for liberals nor is history. The country had a good 2007 which ran from October 2006 to Sept. 2007. The recession began in December 2007 and ended June 2009 so tell me again what Bush did in 2007?
Why? Do you hate Bush that much?Remind me again what the unemployment, under employment, debt, misery index were when Obama took office and what they are today?
Since we have not yet reached the statute of limitations on FDR, I'd say not for decades to come. Given your age, I'm afraid you'll be hearing about Bush for the remainder of your life. When is the statue of limitations up on Bush?
Remind me again what the unemployment, under employment, debt, misery index were when Obama took office and what they are today?
Stop lying, Con. Bush's policies which contributed to the collapse were passed in 2003 with a Republican Congress.Bush policies were implemented with a Democrat controlled Congress when we went into recession so how did Bush alone cause the Dec. 2007-June 2009 recession?
It isn't what Bush did in 2007, that's your strawman, it's what he did in 2003 ... passing legislation which opened up the floodgates to homeownership by those who could least afford it ... and by what Republicans didn't do in 2003, 2004, or 2005, which was to pass much needed oversight to prevent wall street from writing them toxic loans.
"Thanks to our policies, home ownership in America is at an all-time high." ~ George Bush, 9.2.2004, RNC acceptance speech
But you don't post real dollars -- you post nominal dollars and then complain when others post real dollars.Same question to you except my evidence comes from none partisan sites and not op ed pieces. Facts seem to confuse you. Percentage change is irrelevant when it is real dollars and real people that matter.
Okay fine, what were all these when Bush took over the Presidency?
But you don't post real dollars -- you post nominal dollars and then complain when others post real dollars.
