What's the significance of this? The USA has 57 museums and historical sites devoted to the holocaust, which occurred on a different continent, and didn't kill Americans. So I guess by your logic, it's time to close those 57 sites devoted to the minority deaths of WW2.

Your OP made it sound like you were saying the Mongols committed genocide against whites (in that most of the deaths associated with them were europeans). To be accurate, very few Europeans would have been killed by the mongols in comparison to those groups in Central Asia and east Asia

No, what is truly bizarre how you combine one with the other and come to a conclusion that makes no sense whatsoever.

1. the first article was from the shortcut section of the Newspaper, in which the writers write about: people, issues and curiosities in the news. And the study by a respected institution that concluded that the reign of Genghis Khan reduced carbon emissions is something that clearly is a curiosity in the news. The other article is one about the environment and does make some points about how deforestation destroys the carbon capacity of the planet. The 2 articles are totally written from different viewpoints, one is from an environmental position (article 2) and one because it was a curious news story.

2. Heaps praise on a genocidal dictator? That is a whole heap of hogwash IMHO. The writer wrote about Khan:

- murderous Mongol armies
- massacre of as many as 40 million people
- his name remains a byword for brutality and terror
- the 13th-century Mongol leader's bloody advance, laying waste to vast swaths of territory and wiping out entire civilizations en route

Yes, he is heaping, how did you say it, praise about someone he calls the poster child for brutality and terror, accused of massacring entire civilizations, massacred 40 million people, leader of murderous Mongol armies. That clearly is not very positive. The story was written as a bit of humor, hence his conclusion after he has stated how his misdeeds cut carbon emissions by stating:

An intriguing notion, certainly. But possibly not a guaranteed vote-winner for the Green party's next manifesto.

Also, he did not talk about cleansing the world, that is your view, not his, he used the word massacred. And how were the European colonizers eco-warriors, they destroyed the environment with their deforestation.

And only a defiler of history would want to revise history by changing the name of the USHMM or use it for anything other than the reality of holocaust because the Jews were exterminated on purpose due to ideological ideas from the Nazi pigs, the rest were war victims, other victims of death camps and extreme indifference for lesser human beings/creating lebensraum (room to live).
