Which modern president put in the fewest work hours? No surprise: It’s Donald J. Trump (1 Viewer)

TRUMP RECORDS SHORTEST WORK DAYS

I am more than disgusted that The Bee would choose to run an article (Sept. 13) from a Nevada newspaper about President Biden’s apparent overuse of vacation days without a simple fact check. You should print a retraction or an article correcting the impression left with the reader. The fact is that of presidents since FDR, guess who has spent the shortest hours each day at the job: of course, it’s golf-playing Donald J. Trump, at just over six hours a day. (Roll Call Fact Base). Most Americans don’t get paid for eight hours of work if they come in late and leave early.
The newspaper ends its article with “The American people need and deserve better.” We do. We don’t need Trump’s lazy ways.

Amazing that a "dementia patient" still logs more hours than Trump.

Trump thought the presidency was a nine to five job with weekends off to play golf.

Is that why American workers work much longer hours and have sod all holiday and zero sick pay compared to Europeans?
That's caused by Republicans who adore money and want it all for themselves. Republicans will vote against a minimum wage increase, against health care for all and against helping their own poorest, which is why the southern red states stay poor. Some won't even accept federal dollars to help expand Medicaid for their citizens.

Hope that helps, now make sure to vote Republican and against your own best interests, unless you are wealthy, and vote Republican, again.

It's funny they complain when Trump always took half day off to golf. Anyways, one thing that you can see from this graph is that recent presidents have had a shorter span between first and last meeting. I think this is because there are less meetings to schedule, due to more communication being digital, so you don't necessarily need meetings for everything.

That's just another reason to vote for him. The last thing I want is some idiot politician to work longer hours, and therefore causing more damage. Congress should get 11 months paid vacation.
Chaos, that's what you sound like you support. Do you trust anything about our government?

Now, look at THAT headline and think how some Trump supporters might react. Something like................

And it's not enough to just come to Donald's defense, you HAVE TO demonstrate just how ticked off you are about this critique, that you go on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on........................

So what's the point here?

Do liberals really think that the US Presidency is the type of job where more hours "clocked in" = better?

Is there a thread somewhere here by a conservative bragging about Trump's golf hours in the OP?

I didn't make any excuses for Trump here.

For me to even need to make excuses for Trump, the left first needs to establish their clocked-in parameter means what they want it to mean.

Part of the President's job is definitely communicating with the people. Social media is a big deal in modern day communication.

OH WOW WHAT A CONCISE, SCIENTIFIC, LOGICAL, AND UTTERLY CONVINCING ALL LOWERCASE ARGUMENT YOU HAVE THERE!

Did I say I didn't understand your argument? No, I said it was unconvincing. Comprendes?

Yeesh!

So pretty much everything that our Southern parents taught us like working hard and being honest and not lying and respecting women is currently being rejected by the same Southern parents as they vote for Donald Trump.

It's disgraceful.

I know that I felt more secure while Trump was watching "Foxsnooze" and eating cheeseburgers. At least he wasn't screwing up the country even worse than he did.

I trust them to grab as much power and money from us as they possibly can.
What power are you lacking?

Ostraca have been found in Egypt which, broken down to the basics, say, "taxes suck." You're about four millennia late to the game. Try something new.

Try a new whine. "Taxes suck" goes back to the Old Kingdom.

I don't see why you believe this is a compelling argument. Human slavery existed for over 10,000 years until just recently when were able to convince the majority of humans that it's morally wrong. Taxation is also obviously immoral and will follow the same path.

Exactly. "Taxes suck" is something everyone says. It's not an argument at all.

Sure. Been working on the whine since the 4th Dynasty. How's it goin' for ya?

Certainly depends on what they call "work." I for one doubt there is any chance Trump put in even 6 hours a day doing work for the American people. And from November 5,2020 until the end of his presidency, he did zero work for America.
Right, it is the time between the first and last meeting--doesn't account for in between,

We, are the filthy state,

No, we are not. Here's Thomas Paine from 250 years ago:

Some writers have so confounded society with government, as to leave little or no distinction between them; whereas they are not only different, but have different origins. Society is produced by our wants, and government by our wickedness; the former promotes our happiness possitively by uniting our affections, the latter negatively by restraining our vices. The one encourages intercourse, the other creates distinctions. The first is a patron, the last a punisher.

Well, it kinda' is the most powerful, most important job in the world. And it requires a lot of effort to do it well, so yea- more hours worked would generally be a good thing.

But more importantly, if you bragged on the campaign trail as to all you would get done, and then continued making claims throughout all of your presidency as to what you are still gonna' get done, when you don't get it done and apparently don't even try very hard, that's worth noting. Like claiming for 4 years that a new, better health care plan is just 2 weeks away. The fact you weren't even trying to make it happen while lying about "it's gonna' happen" is noteworthy.

Do you think it's not? Trump was so fantastic working part time that he didn't need to make it a full time job?

More hours worked = good is something I'd reserve to a security guard job.

Does he get more votes in Congress if he spends more time clocked in or something?
