Certainly in the top 5 of rock songs of all time -

After Led Zeppelin, you have the Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Queen, Pink Floyd, Aerosmith, Melallica and AC/DC. After those greats - it's tougher to know who to throw in in terms of "bands." Some might lean into Nirvana and Guns and Roses. There are some good Rock Bands, later but after the early 90s, after the Seattle Grunge scene, Rock got cancer, and over the next decade or so, it slowly metastasized, and if it's not dead now, it's certainly moribund.

If we were to move from bands to individual artists, I would be including Elvis, Jerry Lee Lewis, Janis Joplin, Grace Slick (but not the rest of the Jefferson Airplane crew), and some others, for sure.

Listen to? Depends on my mood and what I am doing. Bring it on.
 
Listen to B B King, some great 30s-40s jazz and swing, most anything by Bach, Tupac, and then go home. Saw a show in TV recently. Q: “Do you believe in God?” A: “When I hear Bach or Duke Ellington.” Also, Bobby Hatfield singing “Unchained Melody.”

Its a sub-genre of Rock. I have never seen anyone suggest otherwise.

Nirvana, Pearl Jam, amazing.

Whole Lotta Love, especially for it's time, hard to disagree although I listed to Zep one more than any album. I had to but a second as I wore out the first, literally. Best song on it, How Many More Times. The other album I wore out, Are You Experianced.

BTW, greatest song of all time is Sunshine of Your Love. Jack Bruce was unbelievable.

I prefer Classical first!

But I have an enormously eclectic taste in music.

Ever heard of 4 lads from Liverpool, called The Beatles?
 
80% of the music I listen to would be in the rock category. Favorite subcategories would include dream pop, grunge, and indie rock.
 
I have a soft spot for Baroque music. (I cannot go wrong listening to Bach.)

Yesterday I listened to Alberto Ginastera — Argentinian 20th century composer — and Astor Piazzolla — nuevo tango.

I also listen to world music, jazz, and various types of folk and classical. And Talking Heads.
 
Music may be quite annoying
since it's noise that it's employing
