i like sherry trifle a lot!I've eaten sherry trifle. It's a lot like bread soaked in sherry, so of course I liked it.

Reminds me of once visiting a pub in Scotland with a Japanese friend who ordered a whisky with water.
The landlord brought the water in a separate glass and with undisguised contempt said "ere,put't in y'sel"

And not with water either.
But there's some merit to adding water, nevertheless. All to do with bringing up the flavor.
But it has to be the right amount of water, too much (like a whole glass) and you'd best switch to a cuppa tea.
