Here is an interesting point. According to the Septuagint they were NOT. It would appear that the Masoretic text was corrupted but why and by whom? The answer may be a real eye opener!

But it's true, the Noah myth was not a real global flood that actually happened as described. Utter tripe.
 
There are more obvious Biblical time-line problems than that. A major one being the conspicuous lack of human fossils in that (instantly?) ‘created by the great flood’ (single?) fossil layer collection.

Finding evidence of a local or even regional flood is not finding evidence of a global flood which would be found nearly everywhere at the same date in ancient history.

And there was at the end of the last ice age when sea levels rose 400 feet and submerged vast quantities of land all over the world. This why every ancient culture, no matter where they were, had a flood epic. For example, the ancient mythology behind the Great Pyramid of Cholula was that it was built by giants to save themselves from the deluge.

However, still unanswered is "Where did the water to flood the whole earth to a depth in excess of 8,850+ meters come from?".

Equally unanswered is "Where is there any actual physical record of such a global flood?".

Now we DO know that "The Pyramids" have been built while we DO NOT know that "The Flood" happened, so the way to bet is that "The Pyramids" WERE built BEFORE "The Flood".

Hey, weren't the Israelites enslaved to build the pyramids and freed by Moses? Noah was long before Moses.

That’s only a problem if someone sets up a strawman that the scale of all of the flood epics should be taken literally. It was literal to the people who lived it but their knowledge of the size of the Earth was very limited. Even so, it’s difficult to overstate the scale of the impact on a 400 foot rise in sea level on ancient peoples. Imagine waking up one day and the coastline is now 300 miles inland from where it was.

There was no global flood. Period. That is an established irrefutable fact.

The Noah story was borrowed (plagiarized) from the epic of gilgamesh, from mesopotamia, in the Tigress and Euphrates Valley which is prone to flooding. (But not on a global scale, that doesn't happen)

LOL The oceans were 400 feel LOWER after the ice age since so much water was trapped in mile high glaciers. They have been rising ever since.

During the last ice age glaciers covered almost one-third of Earth's land mass, with the result being that the oceans were about 400 feet (122 meters) lower than today. During the last global "warm spell," about 125,000 years ago, the seas were about 18 feet (5.5. meters) higher than they are now.

There was no so-called "Ice Age" because there is no mention of one in "The Bible".

On the other hand, there is some so-called "geological evidence" that there was a rather massive flood. "Evidence for a Flood".

Unfortunately, since that so-called "geological evidence" contradicts the Revealed Word Of God as set out in "The Bible" is has to be totally discarded as a fabrication of Satan.
