Where is Kamala?

. . . Staying under the radar the way Biden has did not help him while in office.
Agreed. That's why I think it will work for Kamala. For now anyways. . . . eventually she'll need to spill the beans when the debates happen.
They want to know why she flip-flops on policy now.
To me the reason for her flip-flops are obvious - - she knows that independent voters don't want a radical for a POTUS/Commander-In-Chief. She must appear more moderate.

When she gets elected, she'll flop back to her old radical views.

That's what Woodrow Wilson did for his campaign. He promised if elected, he would keep America neutral should War break out in Europe.

The voters bought it, and elected him. And you know the rest of the story . . . War DID break out, and Woodrow Wilson eagerly sent Americans to fight and die in those muddy trenches.

They are smarter than she is though. She will have to answer for her flip-flops. I don't think she'll be able to do this, and when she won't, her poll numbers go south.

Why isn’t she giving interviews? This “strategy” will become old very quickly to the electorate. Republicans are already asking why, and it won’t be long before the independent voting bloc will be doing so also. She can’t win based on only solid Democratic base, she also needs those who are truly “undecided” at this point. They pay attention, and if she continues to hide from interviews, or to make lots of gaffes when she does start giving them, then any good will that she has attained over the past couple of weeks of rallies will quickly dissipate. She is playing coy as regards the interviews a bit too much. There are lots of questions to which people want answers, and hiding from them won’t work much longer.
Same with Tim Walz. JD Vance has been on lots of Sunday morning talk shows over this past couple of weeks, with only minor gaffes. He seems to be a quite pleasant fellow who answers questions in a serious and thoughtful manner. You may not agree with all of this answers, but at least he is willing to give them. There are lots of questions that Tim Walz still needs to answer.
No matter the constant gaffes of Trump, people are not going to vote for a person who won’t expose herself to the tough questions.
Oh, good. A brand-new topic.

When more Independents start to complain then you'll see her do some interviews. Right now, the only ones really complaining are the same ones who said it was a coup to take out Biden. IOW, butthurt MAGAns.

People will not. Left wingers and progressives will.

So you think the many flaws in the protection detail of Trump were coincidental? BS.

If she does a shitload of interviews, are Trump supporters going to vote for her? Nope. As for the still undecided voters, well, you already know what I think about them. Her campaign seems apt enough to figure out when to do interviews.

She doesn't 'need' to do anything the right suggests. Worry about your candidates deficiencies.

Saw this earlier, a much more rational take, and he’s correct, the whole thing is silly, although silly would be an understatement. The the feeding frenzy over it is as phony as a three dollar bill, no different than their trying so hard to try to turn Biden stepping down into some vast conspiracy and ‘coup’, just like the attacks on Walz.

Same people who worship the guy who lied his way through the debate with Biden, the guy had over 160 lies/distortions/misstatements at his recent presser with not a peep from any of them about it.

I disagree. Sometimes the less voters know about a candidate, the better it is for the candidate.

Kamala is wise to stay under the radar.

Hey, it worked for Joe Biden - it can work for her.

The honeymoon goes on!
I tend to agree with the OP. But you also have a decent point. Right now, it's a crap shoot for her to stay quiet. I believe you'll start seeing them soon.

Y'all act like Kamala has been the nominee for months. She hasn't. It's only been two weeks! Geez, she'll do all of the things needed in time.

Her poll and favorability numbers are still rising.

The electorate doesn't care about press conferences. It would just be reduced to a 5 second sound bite anyway.

Trump and Vance dig themselves deeper in the hole with every public appearance.

I'm certain that if it was actually important for her campaign to do a press conference or an interview, it'd be done by now.

She can’t win based on only solid Democratic base, she also needs those who are truly “undecided” at this point.
Almost no one is undecided. The few that are won't even pay attention until a few weeks before the election.

As with so many past and close elections, this will be all about turnout in a handful of states.

Same with Tim Walz. JD Vance has been on lots of Sunday morning talk shows over this past couple of weeks....
Vance has been making an idiot out of himself since getting the nod.

The gap between his favorable and unfavorable ratings started at -3%, and is now 9.4%.

VP picks rarely make a difference; even Palin, who was an SNL punching bag from the start, probably didn't have a huge impact on McCain's chances. But Vance is such an awful pick that he may just break that pattern.

He seems to be a quite pleasant fellow who answers questions in a serious and thoughtful manner.
What is "thoughtful" about doubling down on attacking women who don't want to have kids? 🤨

There are lots of questions that Tim Walz still needs to answer.
Why? His record speaks for itself. He doesn't need to do a press conference to define himself, or refute the moronic and insulting attempts to Swift Boat him.

she's in here somewhere

If you want to know what she is saying on a wide range of subjects, she is talking every day or so to tens of thousands of people.

That's campaigning. Weird that people want her to stop campaigning in the midst of a campaign.

Kamala and Timmy think it's in the bag if they just keep their mouths shut. They don't believe they owe it to the voters to answers questions on policy or on their past actions and political records. They think the voters are stupid and cultishly loyal to the left. They may be correct. Black votes have long been a mainstay in the democrats ability to win an election. Blacks casts votes for democrats based on 60 years of promises to fixe things. They are still voting democrat, democrats are still making promises and they are still talking about the same unfulfilled promises.

Trump and Vance are crashing and burning on their own campaigns, it would be rude to interrupt them.

Not to worry @watsup. I found her! I am surprised you didn't know about the successful basement campaign strategy that worked for Joe Biden and Katie Hobbs of Arixona. If it ain't broke don't fix it, right? The evildoers at the DNC have this thing down paty. When you have a loser of a candiudate, you just use CNN and MSNBS as your campaiugn headquarters and build up the candidate like she is the secvond coming of Margaret Thatcher and then when she is elected, the destruction of America continues unabated with equity for all. Look forward to mansions and Maserati's in every garage cause with equity even homeless bums will get what everyone else has.

It's all about the relevance of time.

I’ve never heard of a person not giving an interview when they were the TIME cover story.
The what now? What is this strange "cover story" of which you speak? :D

Is that what set this off? I hate to break it to you, but Time is pretty much irrelevant to the media landscape at this point.... which is why they couldn't score Harris' first post-Biden-dropping-out interview.

It took Trump: much longer. I would imagine the convention will answer a lot of questions.
Oh my what a bunch of BS. Trump has never dodged questions. Trump answers off the cuff all the time and in most any situation.
