Massive testing will give massive false results. Both positive and negative.
There is no way to 100% eliminate the disease before we get herd immunity. There will always be some population with a pocket of it.
There shouldnt have been a lockdown. Sweden did the right thing: herd immunity.
How can one have herd immunity and pockets of it because it can't be eliminated all in the same sentence? How does the math even work that allows for one to speak of 100% elimination "before" we get herd immunity.
Just words Tim. Just words.
Sounds like a plan. However, just those with type 2 diabetes in the US is around 37.2 million.
Type 2 Diabetes Statistics and Facts
Add in all those with other diseases, like heart disease:
Nearly half of all adult Americans have cardiovascular disease -- ScienceDaily
Nearly 48% of the population.
So it may be that much more than half of the U.S. population will be in lockdown. Might as well turn out the lights in the U.S. The other half won't be able to support us.
Because if there is a pocket which has the disease which then infects a population which does not have immunity the disease is back on. If the general population has immunity then the process stops.
Just basic ideas. Just the way diseases work in general.
Of those requiring hospitalization what percentage of them were children or young adults? Of those requiring hospitalization how many of them had underlining medical issues exposing them to greater complications? Do the math. Testing “everyone” isn’t science based.
The report examined 121 deaths of those younger than 21, as of the end of July. Like older adults, many of them had one or more medical condition — like lung problems, including asthma, obesity, heart problems or developmental conditions.
Under what conditions, what criteria, do you think the lockdown should end?
When the death rate is less than road accidents? (already there I think)
When the R rate, as invented/projected/guessed at by who knows, is below 1?
When there is a vaccine thatworks 100% of the time unlike the flue one?
Never?
At what point to we get back to life?
I wasn’t limiting it to just heart disease but merely used it as an one example. You could include hypertension and hypotension as diseases that compromise individuals. You could include cancer patients. The list of other diseases is long. Therefore the potential victims could be well over 60% of the population. If you lock all them down you might as well turn the lights off.If you define heart disease as blood pressure slightly higher than the arbitrary cutoff, sure.

From your source. While the percentage of children hospitalized is lower than can still dread the Covid 19 Wolfe virus and it can follow
Little red Red Riding Hood to Grandma’s house where the Covid 19 Wolf will eat her up.
Coronavirus deaths in kids echoes toll in adults,
From ClickOnD:
Coronavirus deaths in kids echoes toll in adults, CDC says
That’s good news. Thus far this year, the COVID-19 toll in children is lower than the pediatric flu deaths reported to the CDC during a routine flu season, which has been about 130 in recent years.

Nothing to add. Just thought it needed saying again.
The Swedes brokered a different deal than the rest of the world: Citizens take individual responsibility for social distancing, and the government keeps most of society functioning. There are some rules—high schools and universities are closed, gatherings of more than 50 people are banned, and people over 70 and those who feel ill are encouraged to stay home. But businesses largely remain open, and children who would otherwise need care are in school.
Citizens seems to be taking their responsibility seriously. Residents point out that they are practicing social distancing,
with the elderly isolated, and families mostly staying home, apart from kids in school. Citymapper statistics indicate an almost 75% drop in mobility.
in Stockholm. Travel over the Easter weekend dropped more than 90%; the government did not tell ski resorts to close for Easter, a popular ski holiday time, but the resorts closed anyway.
Lovin told the BBC
it is a “myth that Sweden has not taken serious steps.”

That’s good news.
Football was a dying sport before any of this. Parents don’t prefer their kids suffer debilitating lifelong injury so dads can feel better about their penises.
You should be thanking those of us who are doing something about it. However, I'm tired of your routine. You can talk about COVID with someone else from now on.

Is herd even possible?
Honest, this is insanity. Don't you folks understand anything around you?
England tried it... about to go into their second full lock down!
I am British.
We are going into a deeper lockdown than we have had as we had a slight weakening of it. This is despite the almost total lack of nay significant numbers of deaths.
No known reason for this.
secret is it?
plot no doubt...
