What would have happened if Trump had reached the capital on the 6th?

Correction: "....a bunch of ARMED people who were angry"

Wow, all those angry armed people and only one shot was fired. The shot that murdered an unarmed white female veteran who was not an immediate threat to anybody. She was shot by a black capital police officer. He must of thought she was going to bitch slap him. So even after watching the murder of a fellow protestor, no shots were fired.

Too bad she wasn't a black crack head with a long violent rap sheet protesting on the streets of Washington. She would been made into a martyr by the left but only if the officer had been white. As it stands the officer was never charged, unlike Chauvin. Nobody knows why because the hearing was held in secret. But we do know he did not cooperate with the FBI and never gave a statement before being exonerated by DOJ.

Trump should have hired BLM and Antifa to do his dirty work. They're expert rioters, looters, murderers, arsonist, and vandals.

That is exactly correct, if anyone felt the security of our republic was in danger, actual force would have been brought to bare.

Nah, they were just mostly chicken shit blowhards. Many had firearms, loads had bludgeons & spears and found even more...I guess they were all just unpatriotic ******s then, right?
 
If the insurrectionists actually believe the foolhardy notion that they're going to successfully overturn an election, or in this case, another FUTURE election, they need to stop, sit down, and consider the consequences of their actions, because it's one thing for a mangy dog to chase a car, another thing altogether to figure out what to do with the car once you actually catch it.

"General Bannon" and "Fieldmarshal Roger Stone" don't seem to have all their marbles and Adjutant Reichsinspekteur Stewart Rhodes isn't capable of leading a functioning army to defend their insurrection once it achieves revolutionary status because simply put, none of them have the hearts and minds of a significant majority of Americans.

It's one thing to wave a Trump flag and yell "Let's go Brandon", another thing altogether to actually run the day to day affairs of the world's richest superpower.
Meal Team Six, Oath Smellers and the Proud Boys don't pack the gear they THINK they're packing.

If any of these clowns had attempted to pull a stunt like this in the early nineteenth century, in the wake of the British Army storming Washington, they would have all been "hanged by the neck until dead" in Lafayette Square.

And it's crystal clear that six people in black robes are demonstrating an awful lot of sympathy for the insurrection.

It is not possible to hate that lie and love all lies by someone else. The only reason Republicans hated Clinton is the D next to his name.

He had every intention of going. Did you not see the hearing and reporting about his battle with the Secret Service ordering them to take him? It was an insane desire to be like some conquering hero as his violent mob - the militias - forced Congress to follow his plan and keep him in office.

The 1/6 has laid out the plot in great detail, and you are having a crazy cult reaction trump couldn't do a thing about the election.
 
Have read an opinion of a former NSA agent that he thinks the plan was this.
Trump directs the insurrectionists to the capitol.
When things get violent, and he knew it would, Trump would be there to talk the crowd down and restore order and be seen as the hero.
And then Trump would quickly proceed to call for marshal law which would have delayed the confirmation of the electoral votes.
Sounds wild but feasible I guess.

Here was the plan. There were two "constitutional loopholes" he was trying to get one of. The constitution says Loophole #1 is the power he claimed of state legislatures to declare new electors overriding the voters. That is why he was desperately trying to get DoJ to declare fraud in the election to get states to use that power. Loophole #2 is the 'backup process' for declaring the winner in the constitution:

"The person having the greatest Number of votes for President, shall be the President, if such number be a majority of the whole number of Electors appointed; and if no person have such majority, then from the persons having the highest numbers not exceeding three on the list of those voted for as President, the House of Representatives shall choose immediately, by ballot, the President. But in choosing the President, the votes shall be taken by states, the representation from each state having one vote..."

He was trying to get the process kicked over to that backup process, whether by getting Mike Pence to refuse to accept electors, or by having the mob cause either Pence to go along, or if Pence got killed or driven away from the Capitol for his safety, to have the Senator who replaced Pence in role who was willing to help trump do that, or to disrupt it to go to that 'backup process'.

It wasn't about martial law. It was about trying to use a 'constitution loophole'.

Had that backup process been used, which it may well have been, Republicans had the votes to name him the winner. We came very close to the coup working. 147 Republican in Congress voted to simply steal the election by violating their oath and duty to certify the electors from the states even while they knew they didn't have the votes to get away with it. It could have worked.

When 1/6 happened, my reaction that day was, 'what was the plan, just having this mob go there causing a few hours' delay doesn't make sense as just a spiteful act, probably'.

Now we know. It was to try to invoke that loophole and get the backup process used by preventing the normal counting form completing. It appears some members of Congress were 'in on the plot', and that the information on that conspiracy hasn't all been uncovered. Remember trump's telling DoJ just say it was rigged and leave the rest to him and Republicans in Congress.

My apologies to all who took the time to point out that I'm uninformed. No, I have not watched a minute of the hearings because I've had more important things to do. But if testimony indicated that he desperately wanted to go then **** him. The fat bitch should be barred from ever politicking again and his presidency should be asterisked. At the end of the day **** Trump and **** all his supporters.
