What would happen if Elon Musk takes over Twitter?

just picture all the people who have been banned here. have you screamed for any of them?

Of course not. As I said, this forum has unbiased moderation.

There's been lots of reporting on this story on both sides of the aisle. It seems like the left, generally, doesn't want this to happen. It seems like the right, generally, does want this to happen.

What do you all think would happen if Elon Musk takes over Twitter? Why do you want it to happen? Why do you not want it to happen?

Also --- do you participate in Twitter?
It would go terribly. The first time someone starts calling someone else a pedophile without evidence, in order to slander them, Musk would find himself in the crosshairs where he is damned no matter what he does.

Why is he damned no matter what he does? He should direct his team to moderate fairly.

If Twitter is pointless, then why is everyone all atwitter (heh, heh) about the prospect of Musk taking it over?
I'm pretty sure that it's just you and a few well followed twit stars.

The problem is when he starts up with the accusations without evidence, which he has an unfortunate history of. You expect his moderators would moderate him as the private owner? He also has a track record of agitating against checks and balances against his executive authority at his other companies.

Is that why there are several threads here about the topic? And it’s all over the media and social media?

Accusations of what? I think the moderation should be very similar to this forum.

I hadn't noticed. Jack Dorsey didn't notice either. He knows that it's done. That's why he left.

Check out his “pedo guy” history to get a feel for his history of accusations.

I think moderation of this forum is fantastic and a general model to follow. I am also certain Musk would regard this forum’s moderation policies as draconian were they to apply to him.

Looks like he won the defamation lawsuit there. I think if you accuse anyone of a crime you should be suspended. I see that he posted it and then deleted it. I guess it depends on the TOS how that's handled.

I don't know him well enough to agree or disagree. I think Twitter would do well under moderation like it is here. (I'm not sure what happens here if you post something that obviously breaks the rules, but then you delete it.)

does the Sean Hannity forum has unbiased moderation too?

I have no idea. Never been there. Probably not since Sean Hannity is biased.

interesting isn't it. Hannity's forum bans every liberal and their brother (but not one dude) and nobody much even talks about them. one dude constantly breaks the TOS at another site and rich people (and the cult) want to buy the site to reinstate the one dude that constantly broke the TOS. because he's a POLITICIAN.

maybe the cult needs to reevaluate themselves.

Why would they? Only a handful of people, relatively, post there. And they can do whatever they want with their forum.

Like I said, if ONLY Trump had been suspended or removed from the site, you'd have a point.

can Twitter?

now, if Elon eventually buys Twitter maybe he can do something like what Hannity does but just replace some names (Elon, Trump, Tucker, etc)...

"Contempt of Host/Contempt of Friend/Contempt of Moderator:

You are welcome to disagree with Sean Hannity’s views and discuss differing opinion, but personal attacks against our host will not be tolerated. Rush Limbaugh, Mark Levin and Oliver North are close, personal friends of Sean Hannity and they are afforded the same protection."

while at Twitter...

can Twitter?

Yep.

He could if he wanted to, but I wouldn't be for it.

Ok.

Yep.

Ok.
it's hilarious that people say pretty much whatever they want on Twitter (including posting porn) but they can't at Hannity and then Hannity and Tucker and Elon and Fox and trump bitch and complain about freedom of speech.

the cult isn't fooling anyone (unless they're a dumbass or a cult member).

this entire free speech issue screamed about by Republicans is all bullshit. it's simply about a bunch of people who are in love with one corrupt POLITICIAN and that want that one corrupt POLITICIAN who repeatedly broke the TOS to be reinstated because they are in love with that one corrupt POLITICIAN.

family and Christian values left the republican party decades ago and i called it.

Okay. I'm not sure why you keep quoting me about your opinions on Republicans.

It isn’t whining. Twitter can moderate how they want. But it’s silly to pretend that they’re unbiased in that moderation.
Republicans tell more lies and make more threats. That's not bias, it's reality.
