Imagine the large majority of Muslims in the US declared that they were entitled to the land of the US, to rule it. If they were willing to use violence to pursue that. There might be a small number of Muslims who condemned that, but it was the dominant position.
Imagine that they concentrated their population to control cities, with aims to control more, and to try to take over state governments.
Imagine they blatantly gave less rights to non-Muslims, and were always behaving aggressively and violently to their neighbors. Imagine than any resistance by non-Muslims to defend their rights was called "terrorism" and used to justify more violence against them. Proclaiming things such as 'there is no such thing as the United States or Americans. They are simply Caucasians on Muslim land.'
Imagine that they gained the total support of the BRICS alliance, who gave them full military support, billions of dollars every year, and used China and Russia's UN veto against any enforcement of international law, for their violence. Imagine they held thousands of innocent non-Muslims taken hostage in torture prisons on an ongoing basis.
Then imagine that non-Muslim voices in the US were always talking about wanting to find a 'solution' to the problem, hoping to contain the Muslims to only controlling part of the country.
Do you think just maybe the non-Muslim Americans would feel the only 'solution' was for the Muslims to either leave or live peacefully as equals under the US government? Try to imagine the scenario - and maybe get a little empathy for the Palestinians' situation that is so distorted as to not understand their rights and how they are oppressed and terrorized by fanatical colonialists. I wonder if many can imagine it and relate to the Palestinians.
