I've been told in another thread today that I'm not an American if I vote for Trump.

I'm with Perotista; regardless of who wins, I'm part of the loyal opposition. And all I want is for people to accept the loss or the victory with grace and maturity. Especially here at DP.

People who vote for a convicted felon that is a traitor is the definition of garbage.

Part of the problem is that people did not accept the loss in 2020 at all, let alone with any amount of grace and maturity. There was no peaceful transfer of power. They still haven’t accepted the loss to this day.

So while I would hope your wish comes true, I know better by now.

The Democrats always liked the 538 site predictions - here they are

No, go back further. People never accepted the loss of 2016.

She supports the felon, etc who is now saying he shouldn’t have left the White House.

I mean, what choice do we have? If she wins, we must accept it. The best thing to do is hope for the best, but prepare for the worst. I'm prepared in any case.

Broad swath after that’s what you complain about.

Trump and his people have already said he’s won.
His corrupt scotus will toss it into the House.

I don’t like either one for different reasons. I don’t have a favorite or one I want to win. Regardless of who wins, I’ll be part of the loyal opposition. I think there’s a lot of folks out there who’ll be voting for the candidate they least want to lose, not win. The lesser of two evils so to speak. That they too even though they’ll vote for one or the other, will become part of the loyal opposition.

Elections holds my interest. I used to make election forecasts. I don’t do that anymore. But the interest in elections and predicting or forecasting the results still holds my interest. It’s something I can’t help myself from doing. I find the senate and house races just as fascinating as the presidential. If not more so. That is something that has been ignored on this site. Who will control each chamber? Both are another tossup. Although I wouldn't be surprised if the democrats regain control of the house, the GOP retakes control of the senate. Meaning whoever wins the presidency will be facing divided government. Which I think is a good thing.
You’ve never liked either candidate for different reasons.
Third-party Americans don’t get to say they’re above it all.
You don’t get a pass on policy passed by those you vote for at the state and federal level.
Tell everyone of the precision, apartheid gerrymandering

Well, I gotta say, that if there’s a 70% chance that Harris wins the popular vote but only a 20% she’d win the popular vote but lose the EC, I’d feel pretty good about that if I was a Harris supporter.

I'll be moving to Moscow, but probably Moscow, Idaho on account of my poor Russian. Nevertheless, I will consider it a foreign country.

MAGA.
You’re not fooling anyone with that “poor Russian” thing. Everyone know all Trump supporters are really Russian trolls.

The apartheid gerrymandering as you put it was mandated by the federal courts in 2000 and 2010. In both cases lawsuits were brought stating Georgia was in violation of the voting rights act of 1965 and needed to create more majority black districts to represent the percentage of the black population in my state. Georgia avoided another lawsuit in 2020 by creating 5 majority black districts, 35% of our 14 congressional districts which equals the 35% blacks make up of Georgia’s population. It wasn’t Georgia’s state legislature who drew the original districts in 2000 or 2010 which the federal courts shot down. The same for Alabama in 2020 as they were ordered by the courts to create another majority black district to better match the black population of Alabama. Giving Alabama 2 majority black districts instead on one. Your apartheid gerrymandering is being mandated by the federal courts.

You forget what life was like under the hate regime last time Trump was in the White House.

There was no relaxing
You got that right. The step-by-step destruction of our democracy will be systematic and downright horrible. I'm sure a lot of Germans didn't see that coming in 1933 either. All these brave servicemen and women's efforts whereby they gave their life right down the shitter. Way to go MAGA, you destroyed my country.

Yep. How would you like to be one of those degenerate gamblers who can’t get enough action on sports betting and end up losing money on a Trump defeat? LOL.

The first day odds came out on Trump June 2015 I had only $30 in 5dimes so I bet Trump & won $800:
He was 60 to1 to win the presidency & 20 to 1 to win the nomination

314586473-1 6/18/15 6:15pm $5.00 $300.00 $305.00 Win 11/8/16 6:00am Politics 5 D Trump wins Election +6000 vs Field wins Presidential Election
314559281-1 6/18/15 2:11pm $25.00 $500.00 $525.00 Win 7/18/15 8:00am Politics 901 D Trump is Republican Nominee +2000

I didn't think he had a chance at that time, but over 50 years ago Trump & I were good friends after we met at Maxwell's Plum the #1 singles bar in Manhatten.
Double dated a few times ate dinner together often & I never took a blind date until Trump fixed me up with a women who he knew and & liked but she was a little older
than him; being I was 4 years older than Trump he thought we'd be a good match

I always found Trump very personable as well.
Now, we see that seeming afibiloty was cover for his deep deep insecurities which also make him very dangerous. Especially now that he is old and clearly failing cognitively.

Not at all. I think my vote is worth more than to cast it for either shitbag running.
You don't care about America so quit bragging about it. We don't care for you either.

Attack the messenger.

You didn't refute or even address one thing I wrote.
Biden called racists garbage and I agree. That is where the MAGA's differ. They welcome racists, white supremacists, nazi's and any radical right group that will have them. I bet you are a Proudboy supporter and want them pardoned.

9-5 GOP in congressional districts in a state won by Biden having two Democratic Senators
tells everyone all they need to know about what is wrong with our elections.

And now your State Supreme Court plays the Postmaster DeJoy game of not
counting mail-in ballots after Election Day with more 21st century Jim Crow.
