What Was The Last Movie You Watched and Rate it!

Watched The Monkey a few weeks back. Based on Stephen King's short story. Sort of half baked but it was okay. Kind of like the Final Destination movies where the inventive ways people die are the main attraction.

Been an age since I last saw it. Still good, but doesn't quite hold up. 3.5

Just saw this in the theater, twice. One of the best movies I've ever seen.

When Fall is Coming.....8/10. Story of bad parent/child relationships that takes a very dark turn. I'd liked the movie.

HBO Documentary Pee-Wee as Himself

The amount of home video footage makes this Docu a stand out. Well worth the watch. Have a mixed opinion on him personally but can't deny his creativity.

I saw an ad for that...hope to see it. I never liked him much, but remember how my son, about age 8 or 9 would laugh his head off watching Pee-Wee. I saw him on a different level after that.

There's two parts. Great never sern footage and very in depth on honest. Paul hid behind his alter ego which led to problems. Such an interesting life, career and person.

Jojo Rabbit 10.0

Moments all throughout are hilarious. But the sorrow is deep. Great dialogue, great story, I've never been so shocked by a pair of shoes in a movie. On my list of all time faves.

I saw that a year or two ago. I agree, shoes were heartbreaking. Well worth the time to watch this.

Mona Lisa and the Blood Moon

Came across this movie last week on Showtime. Kate Hudson(Bonnie) gets star billing and is very good in a surprising role, but isn't the main character. Craig Robinson is probably the only other recognizable actor.

Movie centers around 22 yr old who escapes from being institutionalized from the age of 12. Played by Jeon Jong-Seoul who speaks minimal English and has a special gift. Vibrant movie and a bit gritty Really enjoyed, but wish I knew more about Mona Lisa's backstory. Small movie with underrated performances including Ed Skrein(Fuzz).

If you have Showtime or Paramount you can catch for free. 7/10

Network (1976)

The greatest film ever made about the news media. Network’s message about Populist demagogue celebrities is not only timeless but more relevant now than when the movie was released half a century ago. If he were alive today, Howard Beale wouldn’t just get his own show, he’d be elected president.
5/5

This is what I will be watching when it comes out:

The Alamo (1960)

Pompous. Jingoistic. Tedious. Dishonest. Interminable. Dumb.

Watching this movie is like sitting through a two-and-a-half hour Trump speech. By the end of it, you’ll be wishing an army of Mexican soldiers would come and put you out of your misery.

Do yourself a favor and forget The Alamo.

Rating: 1/5

JAWS last night on NBC celebrating its 50th release birthday. Almost as good as the first time I saw in the theater. Almost because it was ruined by too many commercials.

This is necessary, trust me.

As for me, I saw 21 Jump Street (8/10), really enjoyed it, easily the best comedy to come out so far this year.

Bone Tomahawk 2015

I'd been put off by some of the promos, but it delivers.......in a very harsh way. Not for the feint of heart.

I doubt I have even seen anything but a biker film with that much gore.

Although, the concept, the script, casting were all superb.

Kurt Russel just gets better with age & the size of his mustache

One small problem.

They had no clothing change in how many days?

The woman in those heels for that long and no bitching?

Nice legs, but exploiting them in that setting was a bit ridiculous

For a second I read “Keri” Russel…

Wat?!

Mission Impossible: Final Reckoning.

8/10

Fun action flick. Very long. And of course, Tom Cruise sprints.

Slap Shot on Netflix. An oldie but a goodie.

Wife an I did a binge of all the MI movies recently. They are very entertaining - even if inferior to the original TV show.

I definitely prefer to change clothes at least daily.

Hard to shower with them on, I have discovered
I also prefer to shower at least daily, even while camping. Some people thought that was weird, so I stopped caring as much about what they thought was weird.
