By what do you mean radicals? And I think there are more blind cons. here than libs. but there are both. But I am a radical, don't confuse this with extremity.

A radical is someone, usually far left-wing, who want to change society into an entirly new one, they generally are composed of Communists, Socialists, and most Anarchists.

Liberals are ones who want to change society slightly every once in a while, and are welcome to new ideas, as liberal means open-minded.

A moderate is between liberal and conservative, wants the middle of both groupes.

A conservative is usually close-minded, and wants to reverse progresses in society and change slowly back to an earlier one.

A reactionary is far right-wing, and consists of fascists and nazis. They want to create a society that had already existed and want it fast. And since the past is dominated by repression and prejudice its stupidty.

I don't think you're too far off, but you got some 'splainin' to do...

Read this from your comments...

They want to create a society that had already existed and want it fast. And since the past is dominated by repression and prejudice its stupidty.

...and tell me how you applied it to fascists & nazis, but NOT Communists?

Touch of bias?...Or is it ONLY repression and NOT prejudice that makes it different?...

I also noticed the ones on the far-left are capitalized, yet the ones you consider far-right aren't...

Every little bit helps, doesn't it?...

I'm a free thinker so I don't categorise my views into those of any particular political tribe. In fact I think it's absurd & irrational to say one thinks the ideas of the party they support are completely right & the ideas of any other political parties are completely wrong !

Exactly. I voted republican but it was only because I was choosing the lesser of two evils, which is pretty bad if you are forced to vote for Bush because their is no better alternative. After 9/11, I really expected it as a time for America to shine, to finally be ready to set a real good example for the rest of the world. What I got instead, was more of the same BS from the past. More BS lies and I never would have thought the Bush Adminstration would just outright exploit 9/11 to turn on the "patriotism" for a dubious invasion of Iraq. I remember BEFORE the Iraq invasion took place I took part in demonstrations at my college against the war. I was their veteran speaker and you want to know what, looking back on it now, it was probably the most patriotic thing I have done. Ahh patriotism, I think it is a sham anyway. But the main thing that got me out their demonstrating againt the war, was the fact that I knew what this was really all about and I knew, based on past experiences of own, that the US gets involved in other countries only when resources and incentives are involved. I mean I can show document after document showing past US support for Saddam, from the US government itself while he was gassing the Kurds and committing some of his most natrocious war crimes. But this is not limited to Bush Jr. I have seen lies with Clinton as well. I mean, the bastard covered up the genocide in Bosnia and their was such a spectacular achievement of propaganda that Americans had no clue, no idea what was being done in their name. And if you told them, they would never believe you. I remember when coming home, meeting with a Vietnam Veteran and he was look at me, laugh and say "eyes wide open now?" It was then that I knew what he meant all along before being sent to Bosnia.

I am a liberal. I do not disagree with everything the republican party stands for, such as fiscal and immigration issues. However, some of their issues are very archaic, and it appears that they have not grown with society and are intolerant of those who are not like them.

Generally I believe there should be a welfare state, but only for those that can't work due to ill health. I also believe in less government intervention & beaurocracy & meddling in free enterprise & business.
business's create wealth not politicians.
Most politicians are lying egotists living of the backs of taxes created by business anyway.
Heck at this rate I might even call myself a moderate conservative !

Sorry pal you got conservatism and reactionary all mixed up here's the definitions of conservatism and reactionary according to my political ideologies book:

Conservatism: conservatives oppose change because they doubt that it will result in something better, not because they do not desire improvement and progress.

Reactionary: Proposes retrogresive change; that is, reactionaries favor a policy that would return society to a previous condition or even former value system. One example of a reactionary movement in the U.S. is the libertarian party that lionizes the rights of the individual and thus calls for the reversal of the New Deal reforms of the 1930's and a retun to the laissez-faire policies that preceded them.

I, my friend, am a conservative libertarian reactionary, damn the man f**k the Feds and big government type of extremist. Through your communist views you call for the increased power of the state over the people and private enterprise and you liken libertarians and conservatives to fascists? If anything the nazis were radicals not reactionarys the nazis held high above all other authority the power of the state and the worth of the group over the individiual, a view, that is atleast in the U.S. the antithesis to the Libertarian movement.

Your signature intrigues me. What do you mean by "against firearms?" What other inanimate objects are you against?

Does not self-defense have a place in civilization?

Well then sorry I messed up reactionary and conservative ideas.

Your views are very limited on communism, communism is not some big state owns all thing, ironically, communism is an anarchaic society. And I don't think cons. are fascist. But they would be closer than say liberals.
