What is the greatest Rock n Roll song of all time?

All those reasons don't really get Oasis. Number 2 especially because the author accuses Liam of being a "fake bad boy" because of his antics yet singing songs like Wonderwall. Liam grew up in an Irish immigrant council estate in working-class Manchester. Him getting drunk or getting into fights is just a product of his environment, regardless of the music he sings. He wasn't convinving anyone that he was some kinda bad boy.

They are just awful though.

There is no greatest

Freebird live i always considered the 3rd best live recording ever.
1 being Feels So Good by Jefferson Airplane and
2 being Foxy Lady by Jimi Hendrix

I recall seeing Procol around 1972.
Yes opened the show followed by King Crimson.
This was back before Yes was widely know and Crimson was just gathering steam.

The good old days when concerts were held in concert halls and clubs not athletic stadiums and you could literally see the musicians.

I know what’s not. Anything by the talentless bucketheads known as Led Zeppelin.

Lol

Maybe rock is not your preferred genre which is fine but disputing their talent is comical.

Yes were the vegetarians, ELP were the carnivores (forgot where i heard that)

There are literally thousands of best rock songs.

I go back & forth all the time on my all time favorites.

Of course.

I am the nerdy type who actually keeps an Excel spreadsheet of this kind of stuff.
Lol

Note, I said these were the best 3 "live" not overall. That makes a very big difference.

Best to make a list of top 100 albums not songs. Songs, as you say are just overwhelming.

How about Old Time Rock and Roll?

Not truly Rock, but is there a prettier pop song than the Grateful Dead’s “Ripple”?
