'What if he is arrested?' GOP lawmakers worried new allegations may sink rep's reelection

Some Republican lawmakers are privately weighing whether Rep. Cory Mills' (R–Fla.) latest controversy has become too politically risky to ignore, Politico reported Wednesday.

These concerns stem from a string of allegations against the Florida Republican, including an eviction notice, assault claims and now an alleged threat to release nude videos of his former partner. One of three unnamed GOP lawmakers told Politico: "What if he is arrested for real?"

It looks like the repukes are about to lose a seat.

Here's one of his threats. In a normal world this guy's career would be toasted.

Sane/good people don't run for political office.
Meh I'd strongly disagree with that. In my little corner of the world I'm aware of (and have voted for a few) people at the civic, provincial and federal levels who were people of notable intellect, vision and character.

Calgary Mayor Naheed Nenshi*, Manitoba provincial Premier Ed Schreyer (who went on to be appointed Canada's 22nd Governor General and stood up to Pierre Trudeau), Jean Chretien and Mark Carney - all people who earned my vote in spades.

*a man so well liked that he won three terms, despite being a gay Muslim in right wing Alberta.

Trump will pardon him.

Does that include your Sen. Blackburn running for governor?
She knows she needs gubernatorial experience to move to the potus level.

Wouldn't being arrested help his chances with Republican voters?

Mike DeWine?
He, Mel Daniels, Pence, all the congressmen who are gone like Kinzinger, my Rep. LaHood has gone maga-lite.

Think Romneycare will ever get credit for the ‘current’ term “self-deport”, in which he was severely mocked by ALL?
