What do liberals want? [W:217]

1. NHS like universal healthcare
2. Lgbt equal rights and discrimination protection
3. Less class division, wage ratios perhaps.
4. Mandatory trade unions.
5. Nationalization of heavy industry

.
Right wingers satisfied with the cliche answer?

welcome to marxism. you passed the test, now pack your stuff for north korea

You asked what are the five most important issues to us and I answered mine. Becoming energy independent and more green in regards to the type of energy we use is the way we need to be headed. Is it something that is going to happen right away, no absolutely not but if you're closed to looking at any possible solutions than it's not going to solve anything is it?

I agree that we should be looking at all alternative energy sources, but we also need to use the ones that we have plenty of today. So I ask you again, what energy source will currently power an 18 wheeler across the country except gas or diesel?

Same Sex Marriage legalized throughout the country.
The end of the drug war.
Immigration reform.
Welfare Reform
Socialized health care.

So perpetual mediocrity then.

Gotcha....

I like all of those, except for the socialized health care. Now granted I'm not an expert, here is what I would like to see replace the current system. I would like to see free health care given to the people only truly in need. And instead of funded by the government, hopefully through some type of charity. My cousin is well off and pays for the healthcare for some of his neighbors. There's a local family that me/my wife also support. I think that people who have the resources to donate to people in need should, but I'm just not sure the proper way to go about it. I'm not sure about socialized health care, but maybe some other alternative form of health care for the poor. Sorry if this doesn't make sense.

you are on the right track, charities are much more effective than govt beaurocracies.

Another one taking it seriously, oh this is good.

I mean read the post, one of his top 5 issues was to see more gay people in the US. Really? How exactly? More marriages? Also, it sickens me this is one of his top 5 issues when we are 16 trillion in debt.

I agree. From what I've seen, government runs very inefficiently compared to regular businesses/corporations. I feel like a lot of the money would end up wasted with socialized health care. Do you have any ideas on how my general idea could grow/improve? Right now it seems just like a few random individuals, but I think that this idea does have potential. If there is a large charity in charge of this I have a feeling quite a few well off people would donate to it. I just don't think that socialized health care is the most effective way to help the people who need health care.

I don't know.

I know that my car gets me to work and back and that it's energy efficient so that I don't have to stop at the gas station all that often which is exactly what I want in a vehicle. I know that there is a little yellow light flashing that keeps telling me to check my tire pressure but I finally found a button that turns it off so I don't have to look at it, problem solved.

I'm not a car person but I do know that pumping all of that crap into the environment can't be all that great for us (going green is the solution, it's not an immediate solution and it's not always practical but working in that direction is a good thing). I know that there's always going to be a "where we should try to be at" and "what's feasible" aspect to the equation.

Do you have any solutions?

IT. WAS. SATIRE. He was not being serious. I found it funny that you continue to miss the point.

So, you're here fully admitting you can't follow a discussion, obviously have read NOTHING I've written and now want to spread more lies. Guess your inability to prove it shows you are born again evangelical who hates liberals. Your breed is dying, BTW, were you aware of that?

Giving Pell Grants to go to college for poor blacks is NOT racism. Helping the unemployed EXTEND their benefits so they don't go out and live on the streets is NOT racism. Trying to get more jobs in this nation is NOT racism. BTW, these are all democratic programs opposed by the republicans.

Show me the list of republcian programs that don't institutionalize racism.

anyone who has been here more than a year is laughing their asses off over the oozing idiocy of that claim about me

The constitution is anything but a "living breathing document". There is a very strict and well thought out procedure to amend it precisely because the men who wrote it knew people would immediately start trying to change the constitution to meet their particular. agenda.

I think that when all's said and done, we can finally admit the terrible truth.

Liberals want a chess partner, and lashings of ginger beer.

Natural gas will. We just need convert a few hundred truck stops to supply the fuel. Garbage trucks too.

So if I don't have $12,000 laying around, I get nothing from the government? No services whatsoever? Postal? Passport? Embassies in foreign countries?

Some of those services are actually pay per use, but yes. If you cant pay taxes, then you dont get services that are paid for out of general revenue.

more like a few million, but I agree that natural gas is a good alternative. Now, will obama let us drill for natural gas on federal lands?

We have already found ways to use oil, coal, and natural gas without polluting the environment. We need to continue to work on that and also look at alternatives. The free market will find altenatives much better than the govt.

news to me
would you please explain how coal is now being used such that it does not pollute the environment

look up scrubbers and clean coal combustion on the internet---you might learn something.

are you wanting us to believe that coal is no longer a pollutant?

did I say that? What I said is that ways have been found to use coal much more efficiently and without as much pollution. More improvements can be made and we should be working hard on finding those fixes. Instead obama demonizes coal and coal miners---union members by the way.

Sounds reasonable enough.
