What did you have for dinner? -Part dois

Ate my leftover giant cheeseburger with veggies from yesterday. It was hard, both to fit it in my mouth and in my stomach. Don't know how I managed either. Was like an 8oz patty 5 inches across piled high with goodies on a big ol' sesame seed bun. Wish I had a cold beer to wash it down with, but a cold coffee will have to suffice.

Co - Hosted a party to celebrate our elderly relatives 95 birthday with her neighbors and friends at her life long lake home. Just under 100 people so thank God the weather held. For some very stupid reason we decided to do it ourselves, 2 of us, instead of having it catered. An afternoon event so cheese , crackers, fruit, pickles, sweets etc.......wine , lemonade and stuff. I'm bushed!!!!

That sounds disgusting.

Little Caesar's pizza, because my family is out of town. It was a bit of a celebration dinner, because my car magically healed itself. Check engine light has been on for months (thermostat, nothing important), preventing me from passing inspection. Then, it was gone, and I passed. That would have been about an $800 repair, so even with the pizzas I figure I'm up about $790.

My husband had to go back to work for a consultation and brought home Arby's and Krispy Kreme for dessert, chocolate covered custard, lemon and chocolate glazed. The heat index was 107 and just too hot to cook what I'd planned.

Kudos to the old boy.👍

We had refried beans and cheese pupusas, some sliced tomatoes on the side.

I do refried beans for lunch sometimes. The canned ones, and I joosh them up with canned diced chiles, Rotel, and a good hit of Tabasco. Then shredded cheese to serve. Then I have leftovers for lunch the next day.

Pineapple and Canadian bacon pizza.
Where I grew up we called it Canadian bacon and pineapple pizza. Here they call it Hawaiian and it doesn't even have Canadian bacon, it has ham. Whatever you call it or what else you put on it, pineapple is a pizza delicacy. Almost as good as artichoke hearts, but way more available.

You ever have an Arby-Q?

mmmm, I'm not sure. I occasionally try their new sandwiches but mostly stick with the regular beef sandwiches or if I dont mind getting really messy, the beef and cheddar. Both covered liberally in Arby sauce.

And if I eat at Arby's 5 times a yr, it's a lot. It tends to be the kind of place I'll run in while doing errands or on a long drive.
