What did you have for dinner? -Part dois

Getting an air fryer is still on my list. My wife has hit pause on it for now. Thank you for the suggestion, though. I'm hoping that we eventually get one. Marking this for future reference.

I just wanted to say, get one. You'll love it. Tonight I'm having frozen fries and Red Lobster Cheddar Bay Biscuit frozen shrimp (which sounds weird but I love that shrimp) - it will all be done in about 15 minutes, including pre-heating. About 20 minutes for frozen pizza. This week I'm going to give egg roll wrapper chile rellenos a try in it. Did I say I love my toaster oven/air fryer?

I want one, but my wife wants me to hold off on it for a minute. I do really like Cheddar Bay Biscuits.

Me too. And these are the cheddar bay coated shrimp. I don't even use sauce with them, and I have never not used sauce or lemon with shrimp.
I use cocktail sauce, but it has been a while.

I had my sauce all made up, the first time I tried these. I took one bite of the shrimp to see how they tasted, and never touched the sauce. Biscuit coated shrimp might not be for everyone, but I love them.
I never heard of those, but they sound interesting. I've never used sauce with shrimp either, I have dipped steamed shrimp in hot butter.

Is this a Red Lobster Cheddar Bay Biscuit mix you coat the shrimp with?

We had a huge mass of shrimp cocktail watching the west coast (afternoon) Oscars. Still watching. I zhuzhed the cocktail sauce with Tabasco and more horseradish and noses and eyes were running. Yum!

Dinner will be unremarkable...working my way thru all the stuff I posted that I cooked and froze. It will be enjoyable of course, but nothing unique. Unstuffed cabbage rolls later.

Horseradish, it's what unclogs sinuses in no time.
I remember my mother making her own prepared horseradish and no matter where we were in the house, we had runny noses and watery eyes. Dear Mom had to take several breaks.

I made no-knead oatmeal rolls, baked them in the air fryer. I post the recipe if anyone is interested.
Butter and some yummy extra sharp white cheddar, broiled until the cheese melted just right. Salad on the side.

I love horseradish, whether sauce or the real thing.

Chile rellenos in the easy bake oven (as my daughter calls the toaster oven/air fryer). The came out pretty good - maybe a little chewier than those fried in oil, but this is the way I plan to make them now. Took about 6-8 minutes after preheating. A couple leaked a little cheese, but the food tray below is non-stick so it was a very easy cleanup.

We ate at Parker’s BBQ in Wilson, NC. I had the small BBQ plate w/ cole slaw, hush puppies, and corn sticks, and unsweetened ice tea. Wife had the small fried chicken plate w/ fries and green beans. The pork bbq was good, hush puppies good, Cole slaw was a mustard vinegar base which I’d never had before and was just okay. Personally, I like the mayo or mayo vinegar based better. The best part was it all only cost $20.50! We were both full.
Glad y'all liked your meals.

How do you roast your chiles?
