What objectives did we achieve in any of those conflicts? Are you serious?????????? America did not surrender in any of those wars.
It's a region, like Champagne. Actually a subdivided region based on soil types. The Grand Champagne and Petite Champagne (no relation to the Champagne wine) tend to produce the best quality grapes and there is a distinct difference in the product that comes from those regions as compared to the Bordaries, Fin Bois and Bois Ordinare regions. Is Cognac trademarked like Champaign?
Steak Tartare. Not for the feint of heart!
I had it once in Paris. It was good but I don't know if I'd do it again.
Get back to me when you understand the term "surrender". As the South Koreans what was accomplished in the Korean War, you know, the ones not living under a tin pot dictatorship. As for Vietnam, ultimately nothing. Our involvement ended in a treaty. After we were no longer involved, North Vietnam overran South Vietnam. No surrender by America, unless you think we should have re-entered an unpopular war. No sure what the **** you are talking about in regards to Yemen. We bombed the Houthis back into the stone age and they cried "uncle" Where was the surrender? As for Afghanistan, a phased withdrawal was already in progress before President Dementia (Biden) ordered a hasty and chaotic withdrawal. What objectives did we achieve in any of those conflicts?
Korea, Viet Nam, Iraq, Afghanistan, Yemen.
Yes but does it have to be from those regions to be lawfully called Cognac? It's a region, like Champagne. Actually a subdivided region based on soil types. Yes. There are rigid controls on how it is marketed and produced. Only grapes from Cognac region can be used and the labeling goes deeper than that based on what "terroir" the grapes come from and how long it is aged.Yes but does it have to be from those regions to be lawfully called Cognac?
Distinction w/o a difference. The US Military didn't lose those wars...

I see. You know a lot about this.Yes. There are rigid controls on how it is marketed and produced. Only grapes from Cognac region can be used and the labeling goes deeper than that based on what "terroir" the grapes come from and how long it is aged.
Story about tourist lines; we went to Ireland, among other things, to see the Book of Kells at Trinity College in Dublin. Arrived to find a long line going from the book, inside the library extending out into the mall outside the library. I really really wanted to see the stunning illuminations so we five waited patiently in line 3/4 hour moving slowly up to the open book displayed in a glass case. Finally it was my turn. With great excitement it bent over the book which was open to a page with one blue capital T.On Paris...if you plan on touring there and want to actually enjoy your time there, I have two words for you...."tour" and "guide". Get a good one. Book your site visits in advance...otherwise you are likely to spend MANY HOURS waiting in lines.
We couldn't get into the Book of Kells because the tickets were sold out, so we asked if we could take a look at the gift shop. Went in and after wandering around for a while, ended up through a doorway, voila, Book of Kells and no line. Jean Seberg is such a tragic figure...
I'm not sure how a trained sommelier does it. I have a decent tongue but some of these people are unreal in what they can pick out.I see. You know a lot about this.
Have you seen the Netflix series Somm? I found that show fascinating.
