What comes to your mind if you think of Australia? And Oceania?

It's pretty chill and privileged I guess.

Definitely on the down and down though - living standards have become increasingly shittier over the last 20 years.

Australia is a massive nanny state too; it's been that way for a long time and it's getting worse.

We actually have tax paid road signs that say "Racism Not Welcome Here."
 
Oh and I'm pretty sure Sydney has just become the world's most multicultural global city at present - overtaking New York, Paris and London.

You realise that is like saying that Spain is near the Artic circle?

I chose to live in New Zealand these days after years travelling and working around the world. What I think of here is massive natural beauty, uncrowded, pleasant weather, and a 'sensible' society. Take some of the nicer parts of America and squeeze them into a small country, but without too many people. Leave the crazy politics and divided society behind when you come.
 
Oh and I'm pretty sure Sydney has just become the world's most multicultural global city at present - overtaking New York, Paris and London.
I used to travel to Sydney a lot at one point, and when they get those warm sunny winters there aren't many nicer cities to spend a winter in. Too hot for my taste in the summer though.

Not if you count the Northern Beaches in that. They used to have some racial diversity, but then Pablo moved to the Central Coast.
