Oh my! The Thymes, The Chiffons, The Orlons, The Ronnetts, The Crystals. Those were the days my friend, I thought they'd never end. Oh wait. That was Peggy Lee. Heeheeeeeeeeee. Great, great days!! I own all these songs too.

I especially enjoy Herb Alpert, he a simply a perfect mood setter, I guess this goes way back to when I was a kid. Listening to him and Tijuana Brass, he always put the family in good spirits.

I loved Herb Alpert and the TJB. I own 14 of his and their songs. Lonely Bull is still probably my favorite.

You are playing some gnarly tunes, Les. Love big band and the old soul music. Thank you for posting them and I look forward to more.

I've been rediscovering the dozens of Eddie Calvert tunes from my childhood...

Interesting as I have never heard of Eddie Calvert. I love Cherry Pink and Apple Blossom White, but I own it by Perez Prado. That's the rendition that I am familiar with and it was out in the 1950s.

I'm liking the swing era music. Here are a few of my faves. :)

I wish I could say that I posted most of these, but others have done so. I love music. My love of music ranges from country to rock & roll, to 60s and early 1970s Soul Music, to Disco, to big bands, to Latin Jazz and just some other jazz and blues. I even like some of the classical. I have collected over 2000 songs on iTunes. I have over 1300 of them ranked as 5 Stars. I get through all of the songs in two months. As you can tell, I listen a lot. LOL!

Speaking of soul music from the 1960s, here is one of my favorite performers, the Wicked Pickett and my favorite song of his [sound quality sucks]:

It's funny to watch the dancers and see them doing the Jerk. Oh my! Fun times.

Or, how about another soul singer with a totally different sound from Wilson Pickett:

Ooooh, love it!

Totally love it! Al is sooooooooooo smooth!

And now, for your listening pleasure, the big band sound of Artie Shaw:

Or, how about the Duke, and I do not mean the Duke of Flatbush:

A favorite of mine.

Back to the sound of soul with Sam and Dave:

How about a little Latin Jazz and the saxophone of the day:

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! I am now totally relaxed.

And how about a great saxophone player from today. I saw this gentleman in concert earlier this year and I believe he has happy feet on the stage. LOL!

Now that is smoooooooooooooooth Jazz.

All right, changing pace a little here - this is off Glen Campbell's latest album, which came out yesterday:
