I defy anyone to top this.

Man, I love this band and tune. Nothing like a great tune to make ya feel you're still alive and wantin' to dance to it.

The talent of that man was unbelievable. Lots of people have forgotten how truly gifted he was-and his conversion to what sometime appeared to be the silly side of Islam didn't help. But in the early 70s, this guy was respected by just about every other musician who counted.

IMHO the biggest farce in the RR Hall of Fame is that these guys are not in it

My choice for somebody who should be in the hall but is not would be Meat Loaf.

HE played "TOAD's PLACE" in New Haven my freshman year in college- (would have been the Fall of 1977). I didn't make the show but a couple friends did and raved about how good he was-sadly I didn't get another chance. I don't put him in the same league as Ian Anderson (whom I will be seeing on his Thick as a Brick tour this summer-37 years after I first saw him or so) who really was the cutting edge of the so called progressive rock in the mid seventies.

the range Ian Anderson and JT had was amazing. and how many guys could wear a codpiece on stage? in one concert, Barre was wearing a kilt and Anderson stuck his flute in the codpiece and chased Barre around the stage. One strange dude but lots of talent

I always remember this one particularly. It always gave me the creeps.
