Broken Social Scene

Guns N' Roses - Sweet Child O' Mine

Second Nature-Eric Clapton ~~:sun

I put this up every year or so for a couple reasons. while Steve Winwood (more hair, more acid than recent appearances) was always rated as a wonderful singer and keyboardist, no less an authority than Eric Clapton rated him one of the finest guitarists ever.

the second reason its a wonderful song

Speaking of Clapton and Winwood

You all look so wonderful tonight! ;) Such a lovely song!

Ed Sheeran-Little Bird

One of the finest anti-war songs ever

JOe Strummer loved this band

A wonderful pair of live tunes from SteeleyeSpan

the second-fighting for strangers is another haunting anti-war song featuring the incomparable contralto voice of Maddy Prior

another bird tune....

Beatles "Free as a Bird"

Lynyrd Skynyrd-Free Bird

another tune from Maddy and the boys

He rode east he rode west

another bird tune....

Beatles "Free as a Bird"

The fun thing about that video is the number of references to Beatle songs in it, some of them obvious ('a pretty nurse selling poppies from a tray' to the subtle (a very brief shot of a 'Helter Skelter'. I wonder if anybody has actually listed them all.

Edit: And, of course, somebody has:
