It's out. It's always been out there. Biden was never fit to be President. The signs were like the jumbotron scoreboards at an NFL games flashing neon text that Biden's Brain is Dead.
. Were Leftists duped by their corrupt media sources, or were they fundamentally dishonest like the media they revere?

I guess we’ll soon find out if Trump can end the war in Ukraine “in 24 hours”, likely even before he takes office.

At a CNN town hall in May 2023, Trump said: “They’re dying, Russians and Ukrainians. I want them to stop dying. And I’ll have that done — I’ll have that done in 24 hours.” He said that would happen after he met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Russian President Vladimir Putin. Biden was an excellent president. Remember everybody predicted (and some hoped for) a recession? Didn't happen. Stock market set records. Unemployment very low. Interest rates dropping.

These same people say Trump is showing cognitive decline. So that adds blatant hypocrisy on top of their dishonesty.
Myself - Trump is a bit slower now than he was in 2016. That is not difficult to see. And I do worry that by the end of his term - he will be about where Biden was in 2020.
 
Biden had a good economic program but was middling at best in other aspects of his presidency.

He completely shat the bed with nominating Merrick Garland.
 
I think people just didn't want to believe it. But after the debate, it was painfully obvious to many. The ones who still didn't believe it after that were just trying to pretend it wasn't true. They knew.

The donor class knew Joe “Where am I?” Biden’s public display of his cognitive decline rendered him unelectable and that his continued POTUS campaign would hurt ‘down ballot’ demorats as well.

I'd go further than that... the donor class, establishment Democrats in Congress, many complicit in the media, the list goes on.

They knew how bad Biden was, then acted very surprised once it became painfully obvious.

I would agree with this. Given that the alternative scenario is the road towards fascism (which we are now on), people wanted to cling to the idea of Biden (and by extension, the country) being ok.

If you pose questions that others feel a fundamentally dishonest in their assumptions or cherry pick facts, you will never achieve what you want to. All you will get is people arguing over context.

If you honestly believe there is hypocrisy, then the way to discuss that and get the results you want is through vulnerability and getting to know someone.

I have watched MAGA people fail over and over at this for 9 years now and it seems they have not yet learned.

Not to worry. He has a young, fit, intelligent VP waiting in the wings in case he does show major signs of decline.

But right now? He seems to be doing just fine.

As for the OP question? I think they knew Biden was in decline, even back when he was "campaigning" from his basement by video in 2020. :coffee:
