But that won't really create jobs. It won't undo the effects of joblessness. Telling people they are fine when they aren't doesn't work. The answer is no.
Trump was upset that jobs are not what he promised.
So now he’ll hire some MAGA hack will claim Trumps jobs are revised up 2 - 3 million each month.
It sure as hell works and the GOP knows it.Telling people they are fine when they aren't doesn't work.
They were told it would get better if Trump got back in power. When it doesn't they will turn on him. He owns the economy now.It sure as hell works and the GOP knows it.
Just look at the dumbest and poorest Magas in Red States that keep electing GOP folks that work against them election after election.
Indeed. My thoughts exactly. Another MAGA tainted institution. Add it to the list. Not sure about the past, but it’s pretty much garonteed that the future numbers will be cooked!
Because the super wealthy people who run the MSM like tax cuts too. Here is the guy that fired the BLS head, didn’t like the numbers!
WTF? Why will no one ask a follow up?
Heads I win, tails you lose.I recall if numbers came out that favored Biden policies, those were numbers we couldn't trust. If numbers came out that hurt Biden, those we could trust.
It's all bullshit with Trump, and it has to be, because the truth is horrific for the American people."Important numbers like this must be fair and accurate, they can’t be manipulated for political purposes." – DJT
Who benefited politically from the announcement eleven weeks before Election Day of 68,000 fewer jobs per month for the previous year?
Who benefited politically from the announcement of only 12,000 jobs added the previous month just four days before Election Day?
The final yearly revision for March 2024 was -598,000 compared to the -818,000 preliminary number announced prior to the Election. Why not use a more favorable number before the election and revise it to be less favorable afterwards if politics were determining the numbers?
The preliminary jobs number for October 2024 was +12,000 compared to the revised number of +44,000. Why not announce a significantly higher number days before the election and revise it lower afterwards if the intent was manipulate the number for political purposes?
ADP (blue) vs BLS (red)

How was the ADP data manipulated to make the results over time align with the BLS numbers?
Shouldn't we be seeing a much larger overall deviation if the BLS data was being falsified?
No, it's not more likely a problem with the method. And, more importantly, you don't believe that there is a problem with the method. It’s more likely a problem with the method(s) used in the employment survey (forecast?), than with the announcement of the result.
You are probably right, no pun intended, but the question is, are they being manipulated for political purposes? I would suggest that they are not as they show changes to the numbers after the fact that both hurt and help the parties equally and seem to form just a random pattern. If there was a fix on, the numbers would only ever help the party in power. It’s more likely a problem with the method(s) used in the employment survey (forecast?), than with the announcement of the result.
