Who benefited politically from the announcement eleven weeks before Election Day of 68,000 fewer jobs per month for the previous year?

Who benefited politically from the announcement of only 12,000 jobs added the previous month just four days before Election Day?



The final yearly revision for March 2024 was -598,000 compared to the -818,000 preliminary number announced prior to the Election. Why not use a more favorable number before the election and revise it to be less favorable afterwards if politics were determining the numbers?

The preliminary jobs number for October 2024 was +12,000 compared to the revised number of +44,000. Why not announce a significantly higher number days before the election and revise it lower afterwards if the intent was manipulate the number for political purposes?

How was the ADP data manipulated to make the results over time align with the BLS numbers?
Shouldn't we be seeing a much larger overall deviation if the BLS data was being falsified?

Trump was upset that jobs are not what he promised.

So now he’ll hire some MAGA hack will claim Trumps jobs are revised up 2 - 3 million each month.

But that won't really create jobs. It won't undo the effects of joblessness. Telling people they are fine when they aren't doesn't work.

No, it's not more likely a problem with the method. And, more importantly, you don't believe that there is a problem with the method.

It's the same method they've been using. You never complained about it before. You never knew anything about the method before. You don't know anything about the method now. You're just trying to retroactively justify what Trump does.

You are probably right, no pun intended, but the question is, are they being manipulated for political purposes? I would suggest that they are not as they show changes to the numbers after the fact that both hurt and help the parties equally and seem to form just a random pattern. If there was a fix on, the numbers would only ever help the party in power.
