We will never vaxx our way out of this pandemic

Just do the math people, booster only lasts 10 weeks or so at which point you'll have to keep giving boosters for eternity. It cannot possibly work because we're always gonna be playing catch up with spreading of the virus itself.

UK is now up to their 4th booster shot. Soon we'll need a 5th, a 6th, a 7th......etc.......etc.
The vaxx will never end the pandemic, it simply cannot exterminate the fire.

However I have good news, if Omicron turns out to be just like the common cold or flu it may act as a "natural vaccine", and that COULD get us out of all this.

I already am doubly vaxxed, but that doesnt change what I said.
Just do the numbers, we will always be chasing the virus because the amount of vaccinations can never catch up.
It will always lag behind, especially if a new stronger variant pops up

I've been crossing my fingers on that being the case and thus far, it's still looking pretty good. Only time will tell.

I get the flu vaccine "for eternity", why would getting a combo flu/covid vaccine in the future, be a problem?

We fight it with the tools we have, and they are good tools. So you get a vaccine twice a year instead of once. Big deal. Or three times a year. Still not a big deal. It's easy, most places have walk-ins.
Thankfully our flu vaccine infrastructure helped ensure we have a good vaccination backbone already established. Those guys at CDC w/Fauci...good stuff.

Stop acting like we get to choose when Covid leaves. We don't. We control what we can control, and currently that's a combination of vaccinations and therapies.

Did you read the article?? You will need 4 shots a year, and that still won't end the pandemic, you will just control it to some extent

It's not "boosters for eternity". For now, we might have to boost every 6 months or so, but the vaccine will continue to be refined and more capable of dealing with variants and it will eventually level off.

But you're right, we won't vaccinate our way out of this. Because dumb ****, inbred, retard scum refuse to get vaccinated. And thus, we are held to the terrorism of stupidity.

Some countries have over 90% vaccination rates and it still isnt stopping the pandemic.

No, but it can help control and slow and that's what we need so we don't overwhelm our healthcare infrastructure. So again, it comes down to dumb ****, inbred, retard scum not vaccinating.

Exactly what I said, we can control the pandemic to some extent, but the only thing that will get us out of all this is a natural vaccine (hopefully in the form of Omicron, or something else)
 
Tomorrow is my last day of Quarantine. I will let you know when I get it again. Hopefully it will last longer than boosters.

Fact is, we CAN vaccinate our way into making this MANAGEABLE, and statements like "you can't vaccinate your way out of a pandemic" are a crock of bullshit, because
that is precisely what we HAVE done a half dozen times in the 20th century.
The difference is, we didn't have twenty or thirty million people acting like retards over the vaccine, and it's the vaccine deniers LIKE @Desert Storm who are the REASON WHY we're in the pickle we're in now.

I think we should have started opening up leper colonies back around April 2021, when it became clear that these people were digging their heels in.

You don't appear to be able to understand simple math.

The vaccine is only 90% effective against Alpha strain. When it comes to Delta strain it's only 85% effective. Against Omicron it drops down to around 50%.

Even if every last person on the planet got vaccinated we would still have somewhere between 10% to 50% breakthrough cases.

So I'll repeat, WE CANNOT VAXX OUR WAY OUT OF THIS PANDEMIC!!!
