I agree with this on is face. And honestly the Sheriff came across very strongly.

But he worked up to that end point. Saying they intended to stop crime, arrest criminals, and respond to threats up to and including using deadly force.

It was a cautionary message. And one a lot of the people he is elected to protect were likely glad to hear.

People remember the events during the demonstrations, riots, fires, looting and murders between 2020-23. At least 3 dozen people were killed.

I support peaceful protest. But we already saw violence in the refent LA riots.

It is entirely reasonable to be wary about today's upcoming demonstrations.

This is almost amusing in its naivite. Trump sent teams of ICE in broad daylight to arrest undocumented immigrants in a city that is 10% undocumented with the specific purpose of promoting violence. He sent in the military for the same reason.

While he has MAGA going on and on about upholding the law, he is now not upholding it with regard to some of them.

MAGA should be pissed he's playing them for suckers.

You are not however free to try to drop a cinder block through someone's windshield or to attack a police officer.

You're still making it black and white. I'm never saying that I think police should kill people who are throwing bricks. I think they should de-escalate, disarm, and neutralize any threats that are there using the least amount of violence possible.

As I said in a previous email, I’m all for shooting violetn rioters, whether they’re in L.A., Minneapolis, or the U.S. Capitol. I don’t believe in playing favorites when it comes to this sort of thing.
