During the trump presidency, I'd post various threads asking Republicans if they'd support more and more extreme actions against democracy, leading to things like 'openly stealing an election', and I couldn't get any issue to be too much and finally pretty much gave that there was any such issue. Anything goes for them.

But I didn't ask, 'what if trump incites a riot that marches on the capitol trying to murder leaders'. Not sure what they'd have said, but it's seeming like maybe, finally, that's too much for many Republicans. Of course, trump's Republican support has only dropped 10 points, from 87 to 77, so far, since the riots... (I expect it to drop more as he loses power). Even an attempted coup wasn't a problem, but the capitol riot seems to be, for some.

shrug...

If you had asked that question, I would have answered: He wouldn't...and he didn't.

But, of course, if you had asked that question and I had given that answer, you would have responded pretty much how you are going to respond right now.

I think thre Trump Republicans go even lower.

There will be murders.

Amazing that it took this much for these shitheads.

They allowed this because they wanted their supreme court to push their talibornagain bullshit.

6 Jan 2021 was Trumps "Face In the Crowd" moment.

THE END

I think their limit is desecrating the sacred symbols of American democracy.

Unless we take bold, harsh and decisive action NOW, we can expect thirty or forty years of constant terrorist acts, day after day after day.
This nonsense must be CRUSHED NOW and we only get one opportunity.

Not wanting to become a tinpot dictatorship is a pretty low bar

The real cracks showed up after major corporations and donors decided to punish Trump and his minions who objected to those electors by refusing to sign those checks anymore. Money mattered as much as democracy.

I have mentioned this before but worth mentioning in this context also.

No question that the donors leaving in droves is having an impact on the GOP deserting Donnie.

But not only is Mitch McConnell looking at donor money evaporating but I still don't think people understand how stunned the GOP must be regarding the Georgia Senate Runoffs which Donnie utterly pulverized with his endless lying nonsense about the vote in Georgia.

So now McConnell has lost his Senate Majority and who does Georgia have representing it in the Senate? They have a black Minister and a Jewish kid! Can you imagine how many GOP Senators were walking around on The Hill the next day saying "you have got to be shitting me.....GEORGIA!!!" So the question for McConnell and every member of the GOP on the Hill is don't we have to get rid of this guy because all he is doing is setting us on each other while he is bringing the party down around our ears.

And they do not particularly enjoy being shoved into rooms and corners of their own chamber, while wild animals are scratching and biting at the doors. They are actually more furious at Trump than scared of him right now. And some are even more embarrassed than angry!
