Interesting. Not real smart to go post publicly about being a white supremacist.Watchdog group: Dozens of active-duty troops found on neo-Nazi site

WASHINGTON — It is Facebook for the fascist set, and the typical online profiles of its members reveal expected tastes.
Favorite book: “Mein Kampf.”
Favorite movie: the Nazi propaganda film “Triumph of the Will.”
Interests: “white women.”
Dislikes: “anyone who opposes the master race.”
But there’s one other thing that dozens of members of newsaxon.org, a white supremacist social networking website, have in common: They proudly identify themselves as active-duty members of the U.S. armed forces.
The Southern Poverty Law Center, the Montgomery, Ala.-based watchdog group that tracks extremist hate groups, has compiled a book containing the online user profiles of at least 40 newsaxon.org users who say they are serving in the military, in apparent violation of Pentagon regulations prohibiting racist extremism in the ranks.

40 users? Out of how many in the service? I gotta think this is a nonissue.

No, you don't understand!
There is clearly a deep neo-fascist movement within the army. This must mean that the army must clearly watched and additionally placed under the power of the Executive!
First it's a "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy and then its throwing people in ovens. Trust the media on this one.
What are you talking about?I guess all anti-war groups must be like code pink, all liberals/leftist must be like Ward Churchill, all democrats must still be the party of the KKK since Robert Sheets Byrd is a democrat, all republicans must be sellouts who toss the salad of illegals like John McCain, and all republicans must be sell out rat traitor globalist scum because of the few who signed onto the WTO.
What are you talking about?
Judging the military based off of a couple of individuals being a part of what some lunatic watchdog group calls a racist organization.
Ive checked out that website, they are looney in what they find to be a racist hate organization.
I didn't see anything I'd consider a judgment of the military. I see an article pointing out a problem that exists in the military and that needs to be addressed by the military for the good of the military. If there are forty people publicly identifying themselves, there are hundreds that are less stupid about it-- and depending on how widespread they are, they're in a position to influence many more. Such influence would be detrimental to morale and unit cohesion.
Those forty need to be tracked and an example made.
The Southern Poverty Law Center, or New Saxon? I'll agree that the SPLC is damned indiscriminate in their labeling-- having had more than one taste of their broad brush myself-- but even a brief perusal of the NewSaxon.org front page is enough to confirm that it's a Neo Nazi networking site.

Mankind follows a moral code.while i might not subscribe to their beliefs, why should we care what their personal political views are
they are entitled to the same liberties as the rest of us ... and since they are fighting to preserve them that seems like a good thing
who among us gets to be the arbiter to determine just which are the "correct" views that our soldiers must personally embrace
Mankind follows a moral code.
Opinions are fine as long as they do not go against this moral code, then they're just immoral.
Yes, I am the moral code, bow before my might.ok, so you are the supreme arbiter who defines what the soldiers must believe

I'm not judging the entire military based upon this. If I'd have said, "gee, looks like the whole military is nothing but a bunch of Nazi thugs," you would have a legitimate complaint. Is this article you posted an attempt to paint the whole entire military as a racist organization? I seen liberals before trying to do this before
Nobody is expecting them to be "robots." People are expecting them to abide by the UCMJ, which expressly forbids associating with racist groups in the manner as they have done here. This is also another one of those things were people expect their soldiers to be robots instead of people.
From the article:I agree redress 40 out of 1,083,027 if Im not mistaken thats .000037% of active duty service members. Give me a freakin break.
In 2006, the SPLC released a report asserting that “thousands” of active-duty troops like clarkpatrick88 could have hate group affiliations. The law center said that some military officers conceded that recruitment and retention pressures forced them to look the other way when presented with overwhelming evidence of hate group membership.
Later, the FBI said it suspected hundreds of servicemembers had been recruited into extremist groups.

They have less than 40 soldiers in the Canadian military?I find it to be a very serious issue actually.
With that kind of force, one could conquer all of Canada.
Ah, he's just talkin' smack. Hell, have you seen the way Canucks play hockey? Would take more than 40 soldiers to puck with them.:mrgreen:They have less than 40 soldiers in the Canadian military?
