Nope, not true. Cops are taught to shoot center mass to stop a threat. Cops are not taught to "kill" anyone.

You've obviously never taken a concealed carry weapons class. In CC class you are taught to aim for center mass for many reasons, one being that it is most likely to effectively stop the threat and second it gives you some "wiggle room" in missing the center mass area and still hitting SOMETHING. Its a large target and its very stable, heads and feet flounder about too much to try hitting.

When you shoot to center of mass, believe it or not, you may not hit center of mass and....No, that's not the intention in a self defense/deadly force case. The intention is to stop, the threat... not kill

You are shooting to stop someone from using deadly force on you, not to kill them
