War Between The US And Canada - Is It Now A Real Possibility? (3 Viewers)

Another American who knows nothing about Canada.

I predict that within the next two years there will be serious talk of portions of Canada (like Alberta) seceding over to the US
We hate your guts. Albertans hate your guts too.
as Carney crushes citizens with carbon taxation,
The tax he just scrapped.
increased censorship
Meaningless blather. Go read our constitution.
, continued mass immigration
He's reducing the immigration target.
and gun bans
Gun control laws are supported by Canadians. They work.

I own a gun. Many Canadians do.

Russians and republicans probably think and/or hope so........

.......really doubt that Americans would allow it to happen though.

You're just being silly. There is no way Canada could beat the US in a war in the abstract.
The US said that about Vietnam.

Guess what happened?

Many countries could beat the US in a war given sufficient national determination to do so.

The problem isn’t the notion the US and Canada might come to blows.

The problem is the lack of common sense indicated in bringing up the topic under anything remotely suggesting the current state of Canadian/US relations.

The author of the ZeroHedge article isn’t “smoking the good stuff”. Seems crack is far more likely.

We truly need to head back in the direction of being a more serious people.

If we were to start a war with Canada, not you think others would not come to their aide? we are reliant on foreign material for tools of war. How long can we sustain a war?

You brought it up.
I brought up Canada invading the US? Show me where.
Well the United States because the only reason Canada exists is because the United States.
What a strange thing to say.
Here's a more accurate one- the only reason the US exists is because of France.
Yeah it's silly of Canada to let that happen but here we are.

That should scare Canada
Yeah, we tremble at the thought.
I'm sure that means something.
Not to you, I guess.
I'm your mind perhaps
Plenty of everything but very few people. Being Canadian in Canada is the best thing the world has to offer.

Now who's moving the goal posts?

No. France is nothing. The only reason the US won the revolutionary war is because of France at the time but that was 250 years ago.

If say China wanted to if you hate Canada and the US wasn't here bye-bye Canada
Yeah, we tremble at the thought.
I know. It comes through with the smugness.

You're welcome.

If the US won

We would win a large hostile nation who has deep rooted connections to sympathetic Americans.

Winning a war against Canada would destroy the United States

Now who's moving the goal posts?
Scroll back. You told me I said if Canada would invade the US it would be like Afghanistan.

"So you think if Canada invaded the US it would be like Afghanistan?"

You must have misspoken.

I'm talking about the Louisiana Purchase. Some American-Ben Franklin?-went to France to see about buying wharf space in New Orleans. Napoleon didn't give a shit about North America so he sold everything west of the Mississippi River for a bargain price. Without that, without the Westward Expansion, the USA is just a string of states on the Eastern seaboard.

???

Sorry, but 'smug' is the only way to be when you're us.
You're welcome.
We're more than welcome. We own the future.
Example- the province I live in, BC, is nowhere near the biggest one but it's bigger than France and Germany combined and has about 5 million people. Vast forests, great farmland, gold, minerals, oil patch in the north-east, about the most stunning coastline in the world, yeah, we Canadians own the future.
Heres another example- in a democracy you get the leadership you deserve.

Well in order for there to be a war something would have to happen in the US is it going to take Canada because why.

So really without Napoleon there wouldn't be a us. F
???

Yes it's called compensation. I don't need to be smug

Poor Canada. It was nice knowing you

Yes, you're certainly right there. That's why I said "in the abstract".

In a war where both combatants are determined to win, I can't think of a single nation on earth who could defeat the United States.

Gee, Vietnam, Afghanistan are just the two most blatantly famous examples.

The pretense that that the US “didn’t want to win” is just laughably transparent in its efforts to handwave away defeat.
