That isn't necessarily the case. Trump had every incentive to protect his brand ESPECIALLY because there was no guarantee that he would win the election. His business, you might recall, was promotion of the Trump brand and that would have continued whether he was president or not.

You do know how appeals work?

It would require new evidence or a violation of federal or state constitutional procedure.

The state has a strong case. I’d make conviction at 3:5. The question is if found guilty what will the sentence be. That I find dicey. They may give probation or a house arrest rather than a prison sentence.

Kind of like the claims Habba made to Judge Kaplan about being exposed to COVID and not feeling well, so Kaplan pushed the hearing forward a day. Then Habba got her stupid ass photographed at a Trump celebration that same night.

I don't need to know how appeals work in order to make an informed opinion on this thread.
I do know that in order to convict, anti-Trumper Bragg will need to prove now presidential candidate Trump tried to conceal crimes that he has not been charged with, crimes that are not even named in the indictment. Only a crooked jury would find for Bragg's horse manure. There are legit grounds right there for an appeal.

The Hunter Biden Brand? Well, if he had a legitimate business based on that brand then....well, Hunter was paying for a membership at a sex club and calling it a business expense. That's what got him in trouble initially. Later he was paying an "employee" for sex. That isn't a business expense either because neither of those things promote his "brand" which, apparently, is tied to shopping his father's political influence around to various foreign businessmen.

Perhaps. I'm pretty sure that Melania understand that, because of his wealth and name recognition, there will be all kinds of claims against him. At any rate, paying to protect one's marriage isn't a business expense but it CERTAINLY speaks to a reason other than the campaign that he would have made the payment.

How many criminal prosecutions have you been involved with. I’ve several hundred under my belt.

Thus could go either way but don’t think the state has no case. It does.

And like in an NFL game if found guilty it’s going to take sufficient grounds to overrule the call on the field. Lacking it, the call in the lower court stands. Ties go to the call on the field.

It's pretty obvious why Melania isn't there, but I'm kinda surprised that Eric isn't. I think he was trying to become "the favorite" by attending the fraud trial when he wasn't there to testify.
