Those that are creating that ranking are doing it with extreme bias. Pure politics. Name the thing that Carter did well. I will just go ahead and name it for you. The camp David accords. That was a farce. Israel and Egypt had already come to a peace agreement. They simply allowed Carter to pretend to do something and commit the US to giving billions to both countries for perpetuity. If you hate that the US has been giving Israel billions every year then blame Carter.

Yep. I really don't care if Carter gets the credit for the Camp david Accords. He did not start from scratch. Most of the ground work that led to that agreement was done by Heny Kissinger well before Carter was elected.

Actually the only posters pissing on the thread are those using it to bash Trump. Read all of my posts in the thread. I honor Carter for his decency, morality, military service and humanitarian efforts, and I am delighted that he is the first US president to reach the age of 100. Having said all of that, I am not going to lie and say that he was a great president. He was obviously well intentioned, however he was in way over his head. He presided over double digit inflation, interest rates and unemployment. He badly bungled the embassy hostage crisis. That's why he was a one term president. I still honor him.

Thank goodness this kind and wonderful man will be laid to rest under a Biden presidency.

Yes because Carter should be compared to the outgoing President and what he will do in his post Presidential years.

Biden would not actually be overseeing anything of the sort. Family organizes funerals. Biden can honor him with a White House ceremony or have him lie in state at the White House before burial, possibly at Arlington, however staff will oversee that.
